I've got a 2001 e39 530i, a 2004 e60 525i and a 2 year old G31 M SPORT 530d....probably 3 of the best 5 series anyone could own, my e39 has nearly 140,000 Mike's on it and it runs like a sewing machine, the e60 525i has only 64,000 miles and my G31 has 23,000 miles...they are all sweet motors...good performance from all 3....😀
I may be biased for being an e60 owner, but this car's design is so timeless. I see them out in the streets and they totally belong in 2016. I still prefer this design over the F10. I can't wait to see the next 5 tho.
+Thalles AR I have an e60 as well 2008 528i, I would really love getting the f10 2011 550i, I think because since I am more of a tech guy I like all the gadgets with the f10
I own a 550i and sometimes think i should up-grade to a f10 and go with the times.....but I have a original AC SCHNITZER ACS5 in alpine white and today in 2017 this car still turns heads everywhere and is amazing to look at and drive^they should have figured out all the oil leakes in this video haha
Those rubber hoses that you see on the frame in the begining, are those the dreaded ones that gets clogged on mainly E61 and fills your trunk up with water? (Atleast on tourings with panoramic roof)
While new design move was pretty bold and successful (although designer had to resign his job due to so much negative criticism from BMW purist fanatics), car is far from being reliable compared to its predecessor E39 for example. Everyone around me who owned E60, was plagued by countless electrical problems. Most of them were intermittent and very hard to diagnose.
to all you guys praising the e60 here, tell me, have you ever (before during or after) owned an e39? not just driven, but owned, lived with, enjoyed the same way you enjoy your e60? e60 is a fine machine indeed, but it's miles away from the e39. f10 is closer to the e39 than e60 is
