Completely agree. The 3.0 diesel is a sweet spot for high speed cruising and economy. I was thinking of getting a hybrid but even a 1.8 Corolla hybrid at speeds of 150-160 km/h only achieve 34 MPG whereas my 640d achieves the same but has much more interior quality and refinements. No brainier to still opt for a 3.0 diesel if you’re driving on highways without speed restrictions, long distance as they are a highly efficient engine at these speeds
@@ThomsonAirwaysFsThe bigger the diesel engine the more efficient is should be at higher speeds. A Panamera 4.0 tdi should be more efficient at higher speeds than a 3.0d 7er BMW.
I own an e400 from 2020, and I can say that it is beastly, especially when I pass through Germany. It will soon receive a stage 1, which leads to 380hp and 820nm.
Mercedes Benz is clearly better, but it's not something that would matter much if you want fun driving. You're still going BMW. And if you want comfort and a family car, then it's an even bigger gap, but in Mercedes favour!
the video is made with the car in autohold , not in launch control. Also , this video shows a pre LCI bmw 540d , that has 320 -680 nm. so don't talk shit if you dont know and mercedes is slower than bmw , this video was just edited like that, having a slower acceleration to show the merc win
@@RD-kx8bn ну не знаю, сейчас смотрю и выбираю между BMW m550d g30 и e400d w213. Так бмв сильно нравится, как внешне, так и внутрее, динамика на 1 стейдже что с чем то, но есть пару нюансов который сильно отталкивают, такие как 4 турбины, говорят клина ловят моторы на маленьком пробеге, да и стейдж заливать на мотор который уже и так раздут до каких то немыслимых цифр как то не айс. Ешка конечно тоже грешна, говорят некоторые машины масло с завода кушают очень прилично, что то у них там с гбц. Вообще уже месяц мучаюсь никак к выбору не могу прийти. Бензин категорически не нравится, моя душа как то ближе к дизелю лежит.
