A1Brian these 540is are actually little bmw easter eggs... you can find them cheap, kinda reliable and they sound GREAT with a decent exhust set uo

Yea with a V8, 6 speed manual and reliable! I had to do it up. Its like the forgotten BMW.

Oh yea i know what vanos is. I was trying to explain how if you stay at a steady speed. Its quiet. But when you get on it. Its loud.

I will see. But you basically grab a jack. Strong 3 inch piping. And jack it up against the spare well where the straight pipe will go. Just watch out for the battery.

X pipe wouldnt separate the sound in my opinion as u joining 2 pipes into 1 again. . The only way to separate the sound of the 2 heads would be by having a slightly longer pipe on 1 side with a bend in it. So 1 sounds before the other to help it burbble even more. But it sounds awesome as it is. U done a good job. Id b very much happy with that sound.

@@A1Brian an xpipe, merges the two sounds of the two sides of the motor, to get the proper v8 sound. Having each side of the block Unmerged gives you a hot rod exhaust setup.

Nicee! As long as the timing chain guides and vanos is done. Nothing major. Keep an eye on the cooling system. Only problem i really have is the radiator. On my 3rd within a year😂

Anthony Michael I got a jack and some 3 inch black plumbing piping and i jacked it up into the spare where the pipe would go. I explain it in the video.

Anthony Michael Na i didnt use heat or anything. Kinda have to do it a couple of times and then it will bend easier.

Good price if its well maintained. But the 540 doesnt come in 5 speed. Ive never saw one in 5 speed. Only 6 speed.

Im not sure. I got them at the exhaust shop. The pipes dont have any words or them either.

Thanks! If its an auto, be careful with the transmission. They tend to blow. Almost every friend i know with an auto trans, it went bad on them.

Main thing is coolant system. Otherwise these things will run forever!

Lethal Redd Thanks! The headlights are the face lift ones. Like from 01-03 with the halos. They came with the orange/ amber corner lens. All i did was change the lens to the clear/ euro kind.

I did it at an exhaust shop. I used their pipe. I didnt buy it online. Its just regular pipe.

I didnt cut anything. Just dented up the spare to make room. Then brought it to an exhaust shop.

You could do it that way but i just dented up the spare.
