This video is more based on how to remove the headliner. There are other videos on my channel where I show the headliner repair process itself. Thanks for the comment.
I remember doing this to my e38 The windshield needed to be replaced so I took it off was much easier to pull out the headliner and put a fresh one back in awesome video
@@alexanderwoolsey5592 about 7 years ago it was about a thousand Canadian, now people charge about 2 grand for custom headliner with the rolls royce lights and shooting stars or roses what ever u want
The video is very well edited. I liked the speed of the editing. I would have liked to see the actual repair done as well. Did you get new fabric and put it on? Or did you just re glue the old fabric? All in all great video!
It shows he removed it. You remove the old fabric and wire brush off the old adhesive. Then you apply the adhesive and work on the new piece of fabric.
Hi i am replacing my headliner just as you did on my e38 but i cant get to the five screws at the back of the sunroof because it covers them , so i am stuck, youdidnt show in the video how to get at them , I dont know how to move the sunroof out of the way , could you show or tell me how to get those screws out please cause i am really stuck
2001 e38 Sport package, but couldn’t find a way to get to the five back sunroof screws. Then realized from the front ones that the screws just go into some brass pieces that clip onto the tin (maybe it’s steel) that surrounds the sunroof opening in the headliner board. So if you just slide your fingers between the sunroof and the headliner board, the brass clips pop off the tin. And they snap right back into place with a firm press when you reinstall it.
