I meanwhile also watched a couple more reviews, there are a lot of ali express sellers that sell simular units, but some of them need the heating unit to be cut on the side to make it fit, after they finish it does not fit anymore in the original bracket of the car (in case i want to go back to stock) I did not see you cut anything on the side, so.. can you tell me which seller you picked for the unit?
Hi - it might not show it but I did have to cut the tabs off the old heater controller. I was a bit upset about that until I saw you can buy them for around $100. In any case, we are so happy with the new radio it is unlikely we will ever go back to the old one.
How is the sound when you are on the phone comparing with apple AirPods or similar device And what are the sound in general. Would it be possible for you to share the links to all the items you bought for this install
After fixing up the subwoofer (see my other video) the sound is awesome. It's also pretty good when using the phone, we fitted the supplied phone mic at the top of the A pillar.
Hi mate @jackpwc0 how did you get the bottom flush as when I puch my android unit at the bottom the top clips in but the bottom clips are almost a bit to long and leave a gap ? Also I have an automatic how do I get the sensors to work in drive when I'm coming from reverse into drive and them make a noise?
Hi, You have two questions there: Regarding the metal clips on the side, mine were fine. I did have to play around a bit but got it right in the end. Regarding the sensors, They should work fine if you have chosen the correct code for the CAN to work. That is in the video. Not sure what you mean by when you go to drive - do you have front sensors? Mine has front and rear.
@@jackpwc01Thank you! Has this unit given you any issues? I seem to be able to find the 'same' unit from other sellers from China. Price seems almost too good to be true. Would like to hear if you've run into any problems with quality in any way with the unit. Cheers!
Hi at the end i hear you talk about connecting an amplifier. Does this unit have a line out or do you have to use speaker wires and a "high in" on the amplifier to get it to work ? Also, do you know how much watt rms output this unit has? I would like to replace my old android unit (the one that is on top under the window with the 10.25inch screen) because it only has 2 giga of memory and using split screen makes the unit super slow, gps hardly responds
Hi, Yes, it does have a line out for an amplifier. But what we did, was connect that to a MOST converter box that put the signal on the optical fibre to the original amplifier. So in summary, you can either add an additional amplifier or use the factory one. Regarding the RMS. I will look at up and get back to you.
