Makes one wonder when they will be able to make a car start to finish without human intervention...Anyone know which manufacturer is closest to that goal? And with self-driving cars, the car could drive itself to it's new owner after assembly - that would be so cool!

The car gets sorted out, the part with the flaw will be changed. Usually they have about 24 hrs to do that, so the customer doesn't have to wait longer...

It seems like it would be more complicated and expensive to design, build and then program the robots to put together the car. It would be millions of dollars just for each robot not to mention programming the robot. How do you program a robot to do all these welds and moving the parts around? It'd be impossible!!

Ich sehe nur Roboter. Die Menschen sind genauso emotionslos wie die Roboter. Man sieht ihnen nicht an, dass die Arbeit Spaß macht. Alles andere als glücklich. Hat vielleicht was damit zu tun, dass sie über "Leiharbeit" beschäftigt werden.
