For city dwellers that would be amazing but $28k is insane. Half that and they could sell well enough but I suspect they won’t be around in the NZ market for long at that price.
100%. It’s the same problem that H-D faced with the LiveWire. Awesome bit of kit but in our market with cheap Japanese import cars there are much more versatile options for a lot less money. You’ve got to be a dedicated enthusiast to swallow the high point of entry.
@@OnThrottle see if you can do a review on the C400X - I’m not in the market for one but I’d be really interested to see how it compares. Just over half the price but currently including a top box meaning the scoot itself is pretty much half the cost of the electric one. I haven’t done the maths but I’m picking the saved $14k is enough petrol to get you to the moon and back twice!
In the USA 🇺🇸 Until Electric Vehicles get a way to recharge while on the road we won’t be able to go full electric with no dependency on fossil fuels. Why? The time consuming to recharge and the few charging stations.
Yep. The CE 02 should be about half that price, but still, it is quite the barrier to entry - especially in a market with access to cheap ex-Japanese market imported cars.
