Back this week after a short holiday its the turn of YumCardetailng a uk based detailing company special thanks goes to Nick and the YUM team, Website links below. yumcars.co.uk/shop/ / yumcarsdetailing ME: / paul_dolden_details
Very fair review paul. Nick sent these through to me I was not in a position to get them on the channel though, I did a written review for my patreons. I was impressed with the ceramic spray, genuinly impressed. I thought the finish was awesome and it was slick and repellent and nice to work with.. The detail spray, shampoo, and FR were decent enough. You hit the nail on the head, the price point sort of put me off. The market is flooded and its flooded with very sexy brands that have marketting budgets and strong performing products and large line ups and accredited pros using the product in workshops that look like the inside of a spaceship.. I dont think Ive used a silica ceramic spray that I didnt like really, so it comes down to brand reputation and price really. nothing wrong with a brand starting out and wanting to be at that top end of the market. Its a healthy place to be a good place to aim.. But you cant jump there with just 4 products, and very very very basic branding. The YUM logo and branding needs reworking, it just looks budget and it kills the desirability of the product. The market is so flooded like you say, if your gonna grow and survive everythign has to be top draw. Rome was not built in a day, to a be a succesfull brand you have to improve and tweak things and I hope Yum do. Products are decent. Just redo the logos and designs, Yum also I think sounds too much like the name for a consumable, like a drink rather than car cleaning products.. Try and get unique bottles rather than the same round bottles every new brand uses. I would also get the price down below the likes of carpro etc.. And also the trade prices on the 5 litre offerings.. Professional detailers know their prices and want bulk.. The bulk prices are very very very high, even higher than the 500ml offerings (relative to other bulk discounts). you will loose the trade/pro market if the prices are not competative. These are my thoughts, these are all solvable problems and I wish the brand well.
Forensic Detailing Channel thanks Jon totally agree with you about the pricing and I’m only thinking of the brand surviving in a already overwhelmed market thanks Jon it really helps when you get involved in the comments section 👍🏻👌🏻
I use the Yum Ceramic and am blown away by the results everytime. Makes the car look almost wet and feel like slick glass. As mentioned in the video, application needs a 2nd clean cloth to remove. Smells really good too.
Love the YumCars range... Really good stuff and a breeze to use! Highly recommended. Nikolai is the most humble guy I know. Your results speak for themselves.. beut of BMW.
Thank you for the review and taking your time to make a video! 😀 Just for anybody reading: The wheel cleaner is a 2 in 1 product - the major base of the product is a degreasing agent used in wheel cleaners and also the extra component is as you rightly said, is the fallout side of the formula. Regards the pricing we believe we are in line with the top end products based on R&D and the special raw ingredients that are in them but you did make us laugh at the start. We might venture into the gin industry too 😂
@@Adam-ff3me @Adam Adam, you are spamming not only this forum, every time popping out to shout out crap about Yumcars. Are you a trading competitor selling yourself or a mate of one? Looks like you are on the mission dude.
I previously subscribed and hit the 'notifications' bell because I love the way you present the videos and your honesty means I can trust your verdict on each product. Many thanks for that. Love the old Beemer too.
Decent review. Curious, what are 3 "gluks" of shampoo. The bottle at the end looks like it's barely had a table spoon taken out. Would have liked a more measured approach on that. With regards to pricing, I usually buy stuff from him with the 10% discount code which is readily available. I use the wheel cleaner on the cars body as well to remove iron and have used it watered down as well and it works well in both instances. The YumCeramic is a really nice product, I often use it on my car and it leaves the surface super slippery and its safe to use on all surfaces. Gave me about 6 weeks of durability before it required a top up on a non clayed and contaminated paint surface which is decent. The detail spray. I totally agree with your comments. It's by far the best I have used.
Hi Paul, hope you had a good holiday, great review on the Yum car care products, everything worked well,it cleaned the BMW brilliant, prices of these are expensive but the SI02 ceramic one is shocking for the price, awesome video.
Well, there is a Poundshop v Harrods pricewise, I use yums products and yumceramic and wheel cleaner are the best so far I tried in UK. Also, the customer service is outstanding, these people do respect the paying customer unlike some other British businesses.
Brilliant review Paul. Not tried any of these myself but given how other ceramic toppers/qds work I would suggest using it again but reducing the amount you are using. I think that would explain the problems you had using it, try 2-3 sprays per panel and I'm positive it would make removal far easier. I've tried several such as Feynlab QD and with these products, less is definitely better.
entertaining review as always my friend👏...price point is very top end of the market. Products performed well...personally I feel a wheel cleaner with fallout is a perfect combo and saves time. Ceramic sprays need to have clearer/more detailed instructions, I've found with most, a little spritz goes a long way. So many different brands out there...plenty of choice for everyone's budget.👍👍
Great review as always Paul. Prices are a bit shocking really. Sio2 sprays all seem to have a little grab in them but £25 for a bottle is far to much. Keep the videos coming mate. Hope to see you at waxstock
I’ve just noticed that Amazonbasics do a number of car detailing products! I know you’ve a backlog but have you any plans to look at these products Paul? I think the eclectic mix of vehicles really make your videos stand out! I look forward to a video hitting my notifications! Thanks!
Another great video Paul... btw we always get sun in Wales lol would love you too do a video on a South Wales 🏴 car cleaning supplies JaysWax his ceramic wax and ceramic quick detailer is the mutts nuts check them out
Another cracking intro as expected!🤣👏🏻 “Looks like a pink version of head & shoulders - not that I’ll bloody know” 🤣 14:08...Great review as always, Paul! Always great to see the pure honest, unbiased review!😎 Which is rare to see - as most will just phrase every product if they’re sent them for free! Keep up the amazing work, buddy!👍🏻
Is that a bit of lacquer peer near the passenger side tail lamp? Stunning car the E28. I totally agree with you that cars have lost their character nowadays. They all look generic now. Love the channel Paul. Keep em coming. Regards from an also very warm Ireland, where summer normally means the rain gets warmer...
George Donaldson EI7KO thanks George yes it’s the original paint job there some clear coat peel and very small rust spots Harvey is sorting under the bonnet first before anything else I just try and keep her looking her best 👌🏻
Hi Paul..... I'm a big fan of your vids as you do normal, everyday cars and not exotic cars like most. Is there any chance you could do a engine bay clean (detail) as I'm looking to do mine and I want your take on it!! Thanks👍🏼
A bit late to say the least, but here it goes. At the intro of the video, there is a classic sign of a corroded fuel filler, it looks as it there has been fuel dribbling down the side of the tank. It can also be the fuel tank ventilation pipes that has corroded, I've changed both my fuel tanks myself on my cars. Nice video and nice car, hope you don't get water or dirt in your fuel.
Gavin Turner got mine years ago from work but found these online same size rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223164733849
angela harry that’s probably why look at goldenbirddetail.co.uk/collections/wash/products/snowball-snow-foam-pre-wash-highly-concentrated-by-golden-bird-detail SUPER thick 😍
Dont think products used 100% correctly I.e ceramic only needs a couple sprays a panel not 10 so will cause issues. And tbf always apply and buff with separate cloths on any protective coatings.
Lewis Nicholson never once claimed to be a pro I read products before using and speak directly to brands easy to sit behind a keyboard though as I’m sure your aware
@@PaulDoldenDetails Thanks, got your point and didn't mean to offend you mate. It's just far tooo much of slagging off / or pushing forward certain brands by influencers on social media, so it's confusing for us what is genuine what's not.
Lewis Nicholson that’s cool I’m just honest I review things as someone who’s just bought them I research the products read up then hit the record button the ceramic needs to be applied in the less is more way the QD is very easy to apply the label on the wheel cleaner reads like a fallout remover there just needs to be better labels and a reduced price for the enthusiast market 👍🏻
YumCars the wheel cleaner is brilliant it works but it is a gel like formula with the purple die in it and it sort of acts like a fallout remover but had no problem with the wheels and it removed sticker residue off them which was stuck on the wheel over all a good product
Good entertainment video but not a professional review. The shampoo is barely used, the ceramic applied incorrectly, the guy is not a detailer, so I much doubt he knows the difference between the flavoured water and quality stuff. I am a regular customer of Yum products and so far they are the best on quality and the customer service.
Lewis Nicholson I’ve been detailing as a hobby and paid jobs for over ten years and been reviewing on RU-vid for three send me a link to your review and we can compare notes I’m not slagging the products off yes the ceramic was probably applied to liberally but the end result was very good on the BMW and I’ve spoken to Yums and there happy with the review it’s just my opinion thanks for your input 👍🏻
A friend gave me these products try after he had tested them. We bother feel they are well overpriced Junk. If I had brought them I would be very unhappy.
