Hi Kishi, are you able to explain step by step on how to dismantle this cylinder please? Because I got a replacement cylinder and I want to code it to match the existing keys of the car. Many thanks
I had the same problem to solve.... If you have the keys of both is relatively easy. If not, you have to insert two very thin blades to retract the little code blades... Unfortunately I dont have a tumbler out of the car anymore to better explain through a vídeo. Sorry pal.
@@bobbymathiwathanan1832 to remove the tumbler from the car you can follow the instructions from this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tETEtb5Yr_o.html
@@bobbymathiwathanan1832 with the tumbler out of the car, you should machine/cut the side of the grey top cover to access its ring lock(you can see mine have been previously cut in the vídeo). Then, with the key you only have to turn the tumbler inners and it will be free in your hands 😬. Good luck pal, please inform me if it worked.
one way to do it is to drill a hole pointing to the retaining tab which moves in the video when I turn the hairpin. With a hole you should be able to retract the retaining tab.
hello i have a kia ceed 2010 in which the mechanism for the steering lock doesnt engage when i pull out the key from the ignition. Have to give a little tap at the bottom of the steering wheel which makes the popping sound with which the steering lock engages. The disadvamtage of this is that the car thinks that the keynis still in the ignition so my remote control of the car wont work. I tried lubricating the cylinder with liquid grease sprey and wd40 but it didnt work. Does somebody have any suggestions? Thanks im advance.
The aim of the video is to show the locking mechanism, not to show how to dismantle the tumbler itself. Thanks for all the videos you posted helping people.
it is a fake for audiences, he has cut or destroyed a a latch at the end of the lock otherwise he can't remove the internal slot key from front side. Liar liar
The purpose of this video is to show people how the retaining mechanism works. It is clear for any idiot that the tumbler isn't complete. Anyway, thanks for watching.
