Hey there! Nice work! I'm doing the exact same thing as we speak. I'm preparing the S54 atm. But i'm struggling with the mountings arms. I have a M50B20 block, they are the same as the M52B20 arms but one side doenst fit the S54 holes. Do u have pictures for this?

How much did you pay for the S54 engine? I am planning to do this as well but for E46 316i Sedan. What's the right price to pay for an S54 engine and not get ripped off?
Ur looking at 10k for a motor now,and the chances of getting one that ain't beat to hell and back is even less. U will need a different trans cuz he at least has a 250g which is different than the one in the 316. Seriously with the cost of an s54 and the chances it will need a TON of work before it goes in,I've started looking into a euro s50.

100% not true for the manual transmission, even m52b28 destroys the 2nd and 3rd gear of the getrag (had the car for 13 years, know many friends with similar experience - lawya) always fresh oil in the box etc ), once the zf was installed now issues any more (also 188mm differential, the smaller one 168 keeps breaking for 6-12 months even in open ones). The tork of healthy b28, m54b30, or S engines just is too much for the getrag and 168 diffs.
