Thank you for the great video ! A respectful job from you ! Warm greetings from Garry (61) from Munich (Germany - Octoberfest city) and stay healthy with your family !
I'm very glad that you posted this video. I learned 2 things. #1. I didn't know that the 750iL has a larger fuel tank than my 740iL. #2. I didn't know that I could access the fuel pump from the back seat.
Merci pour la super vidéo! Un travail respectueux de votre part ! Salutations chaleureuses de Garry (61) de Munich (Allemagne - ville de l'Oktoberfest) et restez en bonne santé avec votre famille !
Thanks for the video! very helpful for recovering my rusty tank... the driveline was definitely the hardest part for me the side the connects to the trans did not want to budge at all, the Milwaukee and the breaker bar couldn’t do anything had to get my buddy to do it took him like 5 mins
Thanks for the video, Have to clean out my tank but think i may need a better place to do it than my dirt driveway....Also word of cation about wheel ramps i always place blocks of wood under the car or inside the wheel ramps as i have been trapped once and nearly sliced in half another time from them failing (as most have crap thin steel, it should be thick gauge)
Hey, man, splendid work! I am battling a rusty tank and was wondering what were the new parts you installed at the end ? Could you perhaps provide part numbers for them ? Thanks!
Excellent job. I wasn't sure if it was in the video or not, but I thought I'd ask since you had the tank out. I found my E38 740i to be dripping quite a bit of fuel in front of the driver's side rear tire while it was running. While sitting for a few days, there was a puddle under this location too. Are there any certain parts that would result in a leak here? Thought it wise to ask about any likely suspects before dragging out the floor jack and making a mess.
Hello. have to do the same swap. fits a 95 l tank on one with an 85 l tank. only tank straps for 95 L are to be used. what about misalignment in gasoline gauge.
I just want to replace the fuel feed line that comes out of the fuel pump side.. Can I just wiggle it through from the top and remove the heat shield from under the tank to connect the other end? Or drop the entire tank? Thanks
Very useful and informative video, im breaking a 728i for parts and am removing the fuel tank, was a bit stuck earlier on wether or not prop shaft needed to be removed and where some of the bolts were but after seeing this it confirms that shaft does need to be removed and location of the bolts! So thank you also, amazing work very thorough!
