That flat part on the lower part of the shock is a safety pin so its locked in that position for lateral movement. keep up the work bro and good to leave the tq and nm settings in the video
Oh, oh! I know the story behind those shocks now, Han. 😂 Youre too much man! Im still cracking up! My hat off to you! You do great work and use the best products for your rides!!!
Before changing rear shock on a e46..... Buy a convertible. Both shocks is changed in alot less than a hour. After changing the shocks one time its done in totally 30 min. Meaning expensive long life shocks is not needed. Specially now when models getting old.
you need to put the squarepart facing the bolt head because there is a problem with the bolt completely going through the bushing and leaving the shock hanging the body of the car
Han great video. It’d be great if you included links to your parts list thanks. I just got a $3900 bid from the dealer to do the same thing you are showing. Thanks
Haha Mate is your Torque wrench a Wonderwrench one ? 😂 you do all the torque Jobs with only this little Guy 😅 but as always in a typical Han‘s Quality 🙌 even if i don’t own a e46 anymore i still keep watching your Videos just for fun cause i like your workflow and all the Ooookeeeey‘s and Aaaalriiight‘s haha it’s relaxed 😎
@@HansGarage i discovered your channel at 6 years ago back at this time i owned a e46 myself . so i repaired some stuff with your Videos 🙌 but since 2 years i don’t own my e46 anymore, but still keep watching your Tuts haha . btw i can highly recommend you the Torque Wrench by Proxon it’s for the Tires Jobs and bigger Torque to specs ones ;) and it’s not a too pricy one
@@shari_8410 aww man what do you ride now? I just got my 4th e46 not too long ago and keeping at it 😅😅😅 and thanks for the recommendation I'll definitely check it out my dude
So does the flat side of the shock go the way you did it i will check my old ones when I do mine soon but if they have been done before I'm still none the wiser which is the correct way thanks anyway mate brilliant videos very helpful
