Worth every penny you couldn't buy that for what it owes you and a genuine one is 80k at least, only the sunroof gives it away as an illusion CSL Touring one of the best in UK for sure.
Wow mate! Seriously, seriously special car you’ve got there. Mega jealous, I’m in my late 20s and whilst I could just about afford one I could never do all those mods and upkeep whilst paying for a mortgage and the like. By the time I’ve got spare money like that I’ll be too old and the cars will cost even more 🤣 honestly stunning car, that and your e92 are THE best examples, modified tastefully kept in pristine condition. Enjoy them mate great videos 👍
Thanks for the kind words Jamie & glad you enjoyed the videos 😎 I was in my late 20’s when I purchased the e46, granted it was relatively stock and they were considerably cheaper to purchase the base car back then, prices have gone crazy the past 2 years 🤯
Really enjoyed this, I bought my car for £10.400 about 5/6yrs ago now, silver grey, manual cm csl wheels etc etc and really respect what you’ve did with your car, the quality of parts and choices are fantastic. I noticed your sat nav / radio is aftermarket too did you forget to include this, looks oem +. Quick question see your wheels did you have to dictate a specific colour for the refurbishment, as I would like mind done too soon and I like the original finish on them (sort of like a sparkle) but I notice the original csl wheels have a sort of two tone against the inserts. Thanks.
Glad to hear 😎 Yes I should have mentioned that, the previous owner to my friend Matt had fitted the android unit in the car. it’s not amazing if I’m honest but with it having a more modern sat nav and blue tooth music streaming it’s stayed fitted (would like to upgrade to a newer unit with Apple car play etc) The wheels were painted a Vauxhall colour, really love the flake in them - all detailed in the below if you fancy going the same route 😎 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fuMlciqKM9g.html
Its crazy to know that in the UK you picked the car up for under 10k gbp. Even at today's rate of 15k gbp which you mentioned, its an absolute steal. In Australia, an e46 m3 would cost at least 50k aud = 27k gbp
Yea I’ve seen how much they go for in the rest of Europe so dread to think how much well sorted examples go for in Australia 😱 On the flip side I think you win on the better lifestyle, I know so many people that have left the UK to move to Oz, I just don’t think I could hack the heat 😅
@@stoneautomotive As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side. And to me, the grass on your side is definitely greener especially with regard to car prices!
Nothing on the road, same ride height as Anglesey track day and would get really minor rub on the tight left before the drop if it compressed hard but really minor to the point it stopped after the morning session so no doubt burned through the arch liner 😅
Great videos man, this is a very special car for sure. In 2020 I paid 20k for my manual LGB, 46k on the clock, I’d say you stole that for 9k. You have an excellent example of a timeless classic. Great job boss. Subscribed my man.
Nice summary and a very nice selection of parts. Christ you got one hell of a deal with the bootlid. I'm a few miles behind you and now everything has doubled in price 😭 My head gasket has just started pinking. If you want to know I had a compression of 145 psi (cold engine) about 10k ago between cyl 4 & 5 (150-155psi in the rest) and it seems its finally gone. Daily driven in an urban/highway environment. Maybe rev up to 7,500rpm a few times a week if the road allows. Currently on 141k miles. I'm very interested in the Turner anti roll bars after you mentioned the benifit. I love to feel a car. I fitted the powerflex front lollipops from the Z4M with the increased Camber that you also recommended and it really transformed the turn in. Thanks for that and thanks for doing what you do man. 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video Ronan 😎 Haha it’s a journey but hopefully gives you a good insight into what’s involved (all videos should be detailed in the e46 M3 play list on the channel 😬) Really impressed with the Turner anti-roll bars as mentioned, certainly worth doing 😎 Sorry to hear about the head gasket, mine hot a few years back was floating around 190-210 between the cylinders with no pinking but I’m sure it will need doing at some stage
Lots of hard work and some good savings have made quite the package by the look/sound of things. Nice work and good video. I'd love a pair of more focussed seats. recaro sportster CS seats are very expensive now. I'd love to make my car lighter but I haven't got the salary for that yet haha
Thanks Harry & glad you enjoyed the video 😎 Yep I’ve heard the price of Recaro parts has increased, keep an eye out for a set of use Lotus Evora ones as they suit the stock M3 interior well 😎
Thanks 😎👍 Original CSL sizes, which I think were the below but worth double checking - Rear - 265/30/19 Front - 235/35/19 I’m running Michelin 4S in this video
Thanks Patrick 😎 I’m not completely sure if I’m honest, all I know is it’s an android unit that the previous owner fitted. Looks the part and has Bluetooth music streaming but must be 8+ years old now so could really do with updating as it’s pretty slow.. blue tooth music streaming still works though 😅
CSL has also a specific steering rack. CSL seats are super costly... if you can find them 🥲 not counting all the carbon parts for the interior either great video !
The CSL is still the greater car of course.. but for a fraction of the price my little replica gets most of the good bits 😬 Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video 👌
@@stoneautomotive no worry. A great car is the car you love. Don’t car much about status, price, or anything else. This is a great job I guess you can even make it better than a CSL who’s also not perfect 👍🏻
yet again another great video just wants me to get my m3 back out the garage but i cant weathers just to rubbish now only problem when you have had a underside resto done it effects your ocd more 😅
great set up....wow you got brake kit cheap, i can only see the same at around 1400 with a fixed rotor and basic k sport pads. did you go for fixed or flaoting discs. and what pads did you get? i think prices of the cars even more now. i just paid 22 grand for a 61,000 mile 2004 car
@@stoneautomotive i dont like watching your stuff...it makes me spend more money lol. I have an audi rs7 c8 running 814bhp its been on officially gassed races channel. now ive brought this m3 as weekend car and blowing money on that instead arghh. brakes next after bootfloor and bushes.
