Is it technically possible to replace a N47 engine with a M47 engine in the E90??? Do the electronics allow for that conversion???

@@TheBongany nope. Everything is different, every part around engine including different DMF, clutch and everything, different glow plug, controller, AGR, every sensor......it would cost you as buying the new car

@@Thorkell6969 you do not have basics from physic: force of air resistance is in function of air speed on 2. potency, , power is in function of air speed on 3. potency, 220 is 1.69 times more than 130, so air drag force at 220 is 1.69x1.69=2.86 times bigger than at 130, required power for 220 is 1.69x1.69x1.69=4.82 times higher than at 130km/h, so to travel 220km/h is needed at least 15l/100 if efficiency raises from 130 , if it is same as on 130, it would need 21 litres/100km

Was your car fitted with dpf from factory? I thought e90 with m47 is dpf free straight from the factory.

@@dariorseventyeight Got the N47 Never heared a little bit of chain sounds driving it since 211tkm now it has 227tkm and i dont think chain has changed

@@TheTaverniaris Some are without dpf mostly from 2005.( when you see that the exhaust pipe “facing” towards the ground there’s no dpf).

@@lukaszenko901 ok, but dude in the video saying the car is stock and it has 100-200km/h 22-24s stock ! Not in a milion years, stock 2.0D E90 has 163,177 and 184hp...and it goes around 28-35sec 100-200(GPS) depends on power version(preface or facelift)...

I am actually quite amazed this car must have been tuned with some ecu. Its making too much power at top end of the rpm which is not normal for a diesel engine.

Every modern car switches off ac compressor when you floor it. So it would't make any difference.

i switched after 3 years from the 120d e87 177ps to the 2017 190ps. its defenitly not stronger in the feeling but the old one was funnier to drive. the car will be always in my memories

@@ismailacar1 my father has a 520d 2017 xDrive and there is such an aggressive punch in the first gear, but after that it's the low end Diesel so it just feels slow 😂. I have a good offer on a 320d E91(before he sells the car, he gets the the timing chain replaced, car has 225k km on the clock).

@@Cattasticbass How did the 320D turned out for you ? Just bought e90 320d with 177 new revised chain and lots of things done to it at 220 k and it seems so preserved and sturdy at the milleage its hard to believe.

@@lobobaltazar1322 very good. It isn't in a good shape, but it gets me from a to b. Klimatekompressor is dying, one door does Not open (even from the inside) and the Handbrake does Not hold the Car in place. However it only uses around 5,2 L/100km (with AGR off, DPF delet) and it is fun to drive. I have done 10tkm in 6 months. For a daily its perfectly fine

N47 более проблемный, чем M47. Нужно за цепью следить, за заслонками.

@@kingeugen 240т пробег цепь родная это раз,если масло не менять конечно она гораздо раньше зашумит,2е не понимаю тех кто ноет что на N47 проблемная цепь,меняется элементарно за день максимум,стоимость комплекта цепи с всеми натяжителями 150-200 евро, неужели за 200 т пробега нельзя себе позволить поменять эту долбанную цепь,эти деньги экономятся на расходе топлива,просто посчитайте)

@@alexest6229 drove 5 different e87 with that engine (3mt 2at) and had zero issues with it. Also drove different 20d’s they ain’t bad but most examples needs some work. as for the 123d’s over here they rarely do sell with major issues

@@yoshi555king well.. i have very negative experiences with the N-series engines. Had a 330d N57, which needed timing chain replacement, valve cover (not gasket), harmonic balancer (500eur) and eventually it spun a main bearing so the engine went to junkyard. The car was maintained as supposed to. My fathers X5 with the same engine - timing chain broke, engine to junkyard. Theres a reason the n47 and n57 are so expensive in the aftermarket

@@alexest6229 about longevity of the 30d engines I can’t speak of as I rarely drove those for longer than 1000km. I have seen some issues you adress about it but never worked on it. I prefer petrol bmw anyway as in the Netherlands road tax of any diesel is utterly milking citizens against electric and petrol

würdest du sagen der reicht von der Power ? das einzige was mich stört das es kein 6 zylinder ist .. die Leistung wäre mir genug ... ein 325d oder 330d ist da ein großer Schritt ?

@@MP_Monarch du kannst dir ja auch auf den 320d ne Stage 1 machen, dann geht er besser als der 325✌🏻

@@MP_Monarch 6zyl fühlt sich halt geiler an und vom Druck ist es auch ein großer Unterschied, finde ich. Generell wirken die 6zyl nicht so angestrengt und deutlich kultivierter

@@MP_Monarch im Coupe ist Benziner Sound natürlich geiler - ich fahre E91 LCI im Alltag, allerdings 335i gemacht mit 420ps. Nur beim Verbrauch Wünsch ich mir manchmal es wäre ein 330d🤣

How is it compared to the e90? Thinking about buying an F30 or an lci E90 ( mine is the non lci model, my first bmw and fell in love with it )

@@Alexander41864 depends on your preference - I would say the E90 LCI feels more sporty, the F30 is the better daily

@@Alexander41864 dont change it. M code engines (m47, m57) on your non facelift model was Best engines bmw ever made. If you havent gót at least 400 000 km dont do it :D

🏎Dragy: - 100-200 kph : 22,65 Sec. He do the 100-200 in 20 sec going down hill, the problem with the merc is the downforce.

@@dextergandia1928 Regardless of Mercedes's issues... There is no way this car can accelerate to 230 - 240 km/h with that kind of ease, with theoretically 163 hp. And he's only slightly downhill, not fully. If you saw his video of the Audi A4 3.0 tdi 240 hp ( quite similar weight) you will find out the acceleration is pretty much the same until nearly 240 km/h. This car is at least stage 1... Wich means somewhere between 210 and 215 hp. It's impossible to reach 200 km/h in less than 30 seconds with only 163 hp. That's more like 38 - 40 seconds for a stock one, in optimal driving conditions.

@@mariancolgiu1647 I have one E46 150cv 5 speed and i can reach 215kmh with no downhill and 228kmh downhill, a friend with the same car but 6 speed reach more than 240kmh downhill, and is 13hp less powerfull than the bmw in the video.

@@mariancolgiu1647 That audi, goes to 264kmh, this is like 10kmh more than the Bmw, at this speed is a lot, because each kmh need a lot of extra power.

@@dextergandia1928Check the first 2 minutes when he's barely downhill and you will understand my point. He's almost driving on flat! The way he accelerates up to 200- 210 km/h will give you the clue it's not a stock 163 hp car. It's not about the top speed... It's about how fast you accelerate to reach to that top speed. There are a lot of cars with lower horsepower, that can reach higher top speeds than more powerfull ones. In this case the key is the gear train ratio. I'll give you an example... A stock mercedes 220 cdi 150 hp can reach 242 km/h on speedo thanks to its wide gear ratio... But it's way slower accelerating, than your 320 d E46 150 hp (same power, similar weights but different transmission ratios). BACK TO THE POINT... This car does 0 - 200 km/h in less than 30 seconds, a stock one ( I drove several) will do it in 40 seconds or more... there is a huge difference of seconds (eaven if it doesn't look like), and that diferrence is made by the power itself. This car it's pretty sure stage 1 (200+ hp). And it doesn't have close gear ratio neither... It goes 253 km/h at 4300 rpm. You need extra power and extra torque to reach that. Cheers!

Most European cars are speed limited to 250kmh. My Volvo V70-T5 was. But there are toners who can remove the speed limiter.

Standard 320d shouldn’t be doing 155 mph anyway. I wouldn’t expect anything over 145 mph for 163 hp.

@@mrb2349 I have a 2006 one, no dpf/off or anything like that, all stock, and I went ~150 mph ( I don't remember exactly but I went a bit over 240 on the autobahn this summer), so they are pretty good cars for 163 hp

According to BMW Vmax is 225 km/h

@@unionfan9861 yes for E90 2.0d 163hp but there is also E90 phase 2 With 177 hp. Certainly faster👍💣

Top speed is also way too high. Even more considering that BMW limits the top speed of pretty much every available model and the 325d of the same year is limited to 242.
