BMW E90 330i Faulty Seat Occupancy Detector, Mat Bypass and Used Seat replacement Update 

I had the Seat Occupancy sensor malfunction code: 93C3. ( with Airbag light malfunction warning) I tried the Cygnetic bypass chip, but it didn't work. I ended up replacing the entire seat, with an old seat from the junkyard... It came with the sensor and everything else. It was almost plug and play. After I replaced the old faulty seat, with the used seat from the junkyard, I still got a 93C3 code, but when I cleared it it worked find. You do take a risk that the old seat will have the same problem... but not likely, specially if the replacement seat is from a lower miles car, which is what I got.
