Nice !!! Great content dude. I've just started my own channel refreshing my X5M and I have a similar issue, will definitely be following your example. Thanks. Rich
Looks tight! Please make a video on how to fix the drivers side door pull. Mine is doing the same. I did the red M and red start button. I also put on a Alcantera flat bottom wheel with a white 12 o’clock strip, and Alcantera middle. Looks awesome! Great step by step how to video.
Great job repainting the steering wheel, looks brand new! How did you manage to get the inner ring on the start button out though? Bc mine has been peeling just like yours but I can’t seem to remove it from the outer aluminum ring on the button
Great video. Did you spray paint these in satin black or semi gloss black? I believe you said in the video satin black but the link you provided is for semi gloss. Thanks in advance
I had an e90 and now I’ve got an f32. I didn’t know about all these upgrades when I had my e90. Which car do you think is more fun the e90 or f30? Thanks for another great video John 👍🏾
not hating trim looks awesome but next time you spray paint try going in swooping left and right motions it'll make the paint sit more evenly throughout whatever your painting. the trim doesn't look uneven to me it just looked like your were just blasting the paint on it with no motion in the time lapse. Awesome video tho interior looks 100x better now, i might need to do this to my e90 my trims starting to chip too.
Great job Jon. On the downside though, my eye goes to the steering wheel leather more now. The perfect center trim highlights that aging original, shiny leather. Mine is the same on my F36 GC. Curious to know your thoughts on how to overcome it. I've had mixed results trying to bring it back to matte black. Forums seems divided on if its even possible. Some say this product or that. Some say no product, just a damp cloth. Others say a refurb with leather spray paint is the only solution. I'm leaning more and more toward a Mewant leather overwrap. Do you have plans for the leather on either of your vehicles?
Eventually I’ll do a new wheel in the e90. The f30 wheel is pretty much flawless, brand new. I’ve yet to mess with any leather conditioners but I definitely will before I swap wheels
Thic F30 👍. I get the feeling these wheels need to be maintained from day 1 to stay looking newish. Once they’re past a certain point there’s only so much you can recover. Love watching the journey though so keep up the great content.
Use Dr Leather Leather Cleaner to clean off back to matte leather, sand off any scuffs as required then use colourlock leather dye in F034 Black, the steering wheel will be like new.
When’s the raffle? Asking for a friend. I wish I could relate to the e90 but I’m an f30 owner haha. Fun watching you build this though. Keep up the good work.
