Thanks for taking the time and effort to make the video. I think this is gonna help me with the issues I’m having getting the rear portion of my roof liner to pull down. Great work.
Bonjour. J'ai utilisé de la peinture automobile, une base avec un vernis mat incolore, elle a été appliquée au pistolet à air comprimé. Avant cela, il était préparé... nettoyage, ponçage et apprêt plastique pour toutes les pièces en plastique.
Hello mate. Really cool video. Congratulations I did it too on my E92. But the belt part I don’t know how to fix it well. 😢 The part it isn’t fixed well on the top of the belt (both parts both side) What do you think I have to do ?
Greetings. Maybe some hooks were broken during disassembly, so you can't fix it properly. Check it out first. That could be a problem because only the hooks hold that part.. there are no screws etc..
Hey I just bought brand-new BMW X4M and there is a gash in my headliner. The dealership doesn't want to fix it because they said it would cause more damage and it would never be back to factory spec. I'm really pissed at this point, but if they don't feel comfortable to do the work, another dealership said they would in the service dept. Is this something I should have replaced professionally at the service dealership or maybe a body shop> I don't want any creaks, sounds, scratches or anything. I just want it to look brand new like it's supposed to.
It is definitely something that the seller should solve and replace the headliner exclusively at an authorized service center. I believe that an authorized service center should have the knowledge and tools to remove the headliner without tearing or breaking it, in other shops I am not sure how much patience and skill they will have to do it. Good luck.
Old material cannot be reused. Everything must be removed, the burnt sponge must be cleaned and the new material must be glued with thermal glue. It is the only real solution for a perfect result.
the black clip in the rear of headliner that holds the grey plastic handle, is that sold separately or would i have to get a whole new headliner? struggling to find a part number for it
I didn't use spray. First of all, a plastic primer must be applied. I painted with car paint, base coat and finally matte varnish. The spray is not permanent, it peels and sticks all the time.
I only disconnect the battery if I have to disconnect the airbags. In this case, there was no need to touch anything related to the airbags, so I did not disconnect the battery.
This is as the title says .. how to remove the headliner. This process is shown from beginning to end. And, if you mean on the reparation headliner itself, which is not the topic of this video, you can find it in one of my othe videos on the channel, e.g. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cRx-KQxzMlE.html
I didn't make this video to entertain you Richard, but to help people fix these things so the music is totally irrelevant, especially since you have the option to turn the volume down and mute. I'm really interested, if you were able to make even one video like this, what kind of music would you put on it?!
