Well explained tutorial. Just a couple notes that may help others. The induction duct should be covered with a bag to stop debris and the OEM manual says to apply a copper anti-seize to he plug threads.

Excellent tutorial! I just got a 74K mile 2011 E93 and it already threw up an engine warning and started misfiring with only my 2nd full throttle application. Codes indicate coil on number 3, so I think I am going to attempt changing all the plugs and coils myself so that I can be confident that they are fresh for a while. This video will be a tremendous help.

I just got my F10 Spark plugs replace at 60k mikes, it runs a lot better/ smoother, I’ll probably replace the coils when I reach 100k miles

Great video, save me a lot of money changing the engine coils and spark plugs myself on a 2012 X5. I didn't have to take the strut bar out. Also my cabin air filters are all on the passenger side which I had to remove. That along with other engine plastic to get to cylinders 5 and 6. Also gave me better access to number 4.

I agree as a owner of. 3011 N55 watching this I'm leaning to just give the dealer my money I just don't have the time to outs around with that stuff

When you were speaking about that original spark plug it wasnt gapped properly from the looks of it and all that space between the sparking area.

I think you only need to remove the left strut brace.

Nice write up - One little item though: Did I detect a jump from Newton Meters to Ft. Pounds or was that my imagination? Not a huge deal but my mental metric detector was smelling them stinky foot pounds.

YOU WILL NEED TO INVEST IN A BETTER CAMERA, THE AUTO FOCUS IS NOT THE BEST, DIFFICULT TO FALOW WITH THAT BLUR IMAGES, BUT THE INFORMATION WAS VERY GOOD.

I have a 2011 BMW 335i twin turbo and I'm getting this error msg. It has a new astock charge pipe, all the intercoller hose have no cracks. Intake Gasket is new . And Everytime I push the gas pedal it gives me this error mag. Code P00BD indicates that the Mass Air Flow sensor 'A' electrical circuit was out of range or had an air flow too high performance..

You you need to disconnect the battery? Also I just changed mine yesterday and i drove it for about 20 min and seemed fine later that night I tried to drive it again and it would turn and and immediately turn off right after idk what it can be

Why do they engineer it so complicated? How many hours would that all take assuming you have the right tools

At how many miles did your change your spark plugs?

The fact that a spark plug video is going to help me change out the fuel rail sensor on this car baffles me.

These basic maintenance things were much easier on my E36.

PRO TIP: if you dont have a spark plug socket, use a regular socket to loosen the spark plug then insert your coil pack to pull the spark plug out.

That's ridiculous, could BMW make what should be a simple job anymore time consuming.

GAPPING! GAPPING! You didn't say anything about checking the gap on each new plug before putting them in! Plugs that do not have the correct gap will get you into all kinds of trouble.

I did sparkplugs, airflilter, and oil change on my n55 M135i.. Bruuuuh what a shitty design. You have to take off all the covers and sturt bar to get to cylinder 5 and 6.
