Hey dude, I just did the exact same thing ! and after the car did not start anymore, so you replaced that thing with fuses over the battery and the car ran like normal after ? thank you for your video this thing just happened to me today and it's such a relief to find out i'm not the only one !

Hey sir. I did the same thing. That battery wire touched the cross over bar as I put it back together and I have that drivetrain malfunction and my car won’t start. I have work and drive my son to school (single dad). Praying you have a fix for what fuse popped I spent hours pulling these fuses (which are in the wrist spot I’ve ever seen for fuses in my life). Can you please let me know how you fixed this. I’m loosing my mind right now. Can’t believe I did that. I was done! Lol. Now the blower works but my car doesn’t. SMH. Thank you very much in advance.

I just did this repair and found the original material at home depot. i used a foam vacuum filter found in shop-vac dept cost $5. didnt even glue it. just cut to size and it fits right in

@@houseofpang yes was pretty much exacly what i would expect original to be like. Was about 1/4" - 3/8" thick.

I did not disconnect the battery and I got a short now my can won’t start it says powertrain malfunction 😢

Where is the FSU located? Is it on top of that cover full of wires?

So I did this today and the ac on max is still loud but not as loud as before.... The cover I did the same fix as you... I wonder if I just didn't clean it out enough... 🤔

It’s possible you didn’t. Do it again. Mine had a lot of junk in there. Took me a while. Just a reminder if you do it again please please remove negative terminal from battery.

you said that you change the fuse but which fuse i should replace?

You must have blown the fuses. There is a fuse panel on top of the battery. Those fuses are not replaceable so you have to replace the entire panel. I have a video on my channel showing how to do it.

Yes you won’t if battery is disconnected however if you connect the battery in the middle for some crazy reason- you will

jason jonilionis can you please post a video on how to do this from the bottom. As far as I know there is no way to get to it from the bottom but I would love you to prove me wrong.

jason jonilionis I went in from the top and my battery lead hit the bar and caused a spark. Car says drivetrain malfunction and won’t start. I’ll go from the bottom next rime 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

Matas Stasiunas how did you fix it? I have “drivetrain malfunction” warning and can’t my car started. I replaced the “batter power distribution box” but it didn’t help..

@@Lucidbkeo oh yeah it’s sad. I should have emphasized more. Infact I myself learned the hard way. Now any work I do on car I always disconnect battery. Definitely got saved a few times.
