BMW F34 328i GT JB4 install+first impressions 

This is a piggy back unit, not a flasher.

@@Kamshaft so if i install, and remove later, no one will know it was there when the scan my ecu? Right?

@@1Bigduff Technically NO, But let’s say your engine blows up (under warranty) and the dealer hooks up to the the ECM (after you remove JB4 and even clear codes) they could see if the boost ever reached over OEM max PSI parameters. The only way that would really occur is if you installed a tuner. It also depends on the dealer, some don’t care if you are FBO and tuned, others will void warranty.

Honestly the way I'm doing it is engine bay first and just work your way out. Get that power and then show people after that it does actually mean buisness

What power problem are you referring to exactly? I do not recall there being a power problem in this video. It was a bit tricky figuring out how to activate the tune. Few things to say here for your power issue…. #1 make sure you correctly installed JB4 #2 have you correctly enabled the tune via JB4 #3 JB4 will cut boost until oil temps get high enough (this could be why your feeling “less power”) #4 JB4’s higher boost targets popped your charge pipe (common these break when tuned) or blew something in the charge air system off due to the higher boost pressures. #5 there’s something mechanically wrong with your car and JB4 is actually cutting boost when enabled to prevent engine damage. Your car may drive fine on the stock tune, but when JB4 is enabled that’s when your weak spots are gonna come to light.

Kamshaft whenever i go to floor it, it doesnt bring the rpms up at all nor boost. And at 7:30 in the video, you said something about feeling slower.

@@evana.3073 Correct on 7:30 that was due to oil temps not being high enough & JB4 cutting boost. It’s really hard to remotely diagnose something BUT my best guess would be your coils/plug just don’t have the Zappy ZAP your engine needs to provide for the aggressive JB4 maps. When I tuned my BMW the first thing to go was the coils, but that was just the beginning 🤣

You can but you won't make as much power as you would with a catless down pipe
