hey @chasxreacts155 I am an i3 owner and I will say the car overall is a very underated EV. The only things you have to prepare yourself for is the shorter EV range and tires. Nothing really goes on with this car especially with the later years (2017 and up) you can get a fully optioned version for just around $20k in the US. In the bmw i3 reddit most people do not have issues with the range extender because most people do not end up using it in one drive so BMW programmed a maintenance feature for the extender so it doesn’t wear and break anytime soon. Again like the other reply said it is a BMW but if you buy a later year and ask questions in forums on choices, almost any i3 will get you well over 150k miles. That’s my opinion as an owner but the best thing you can do is research to see if it fits your lifestyle, it has absolutely changed mine and if they weren’t discontinued I would definitely get another :)) Also, in terms of stability on the highway. Yes, on windy days you can feel like you are getting blown around like the car is squirrely at high winds but it has never been a significant drop of range or like I am literally going to fly off the road because its so bad. It’s a ground up unique EV but it’s still equipped with BMWs superb handling
