An explanation of the issues faced with the K+DCAN cable - more user error than cable issues...
When using the cable to perform activations / vehicle communications ensure it is set correctly.

INPA was developed by BMW for factory floor diagnostics primarily for test procedures, it actually runs via EDIABAS. it's a bit like a controller for EDIABAS.

I get this error message popping up when i try the ews adjustment, any advice on how to get it to take the adjustment?

I have the issue where everything was working perfectly I even did the cable switch , it was working before… now dme won’t even communicate … did absolutely nothing. INPA can read every module but not the DME…. I have an e39 m5… I’m beyond lost. As soon as I hit engine “MSS52” it gives me the error IFH-0009.

Did you find a solution? It's the same by me it worked before perfect, and suddenly doesn't work anymore.

@@yahyzo417 yes, it turned out to be a bad flash that didn’t allow my DME to connect anymore I ended up paying for the program which allowed me to reflash my dme even if it had a corrupted flash. It’s called “MSS FLASHER” That’s assuming you have a good cable and you didn’t switch any settings on the cable some cables tend to have a switch Before you buy the program I would recommend checking your cable and make sure that The pin on the OBD two part of the cable are not bent or damaged
