to be honest, it looks like the bmw was holding back slightly, and could have passed the r32 easily, and the r32 driver was all over the place and lines were all wrong and yes i am shooting myself in the foot because i have an r32 lol
im very much an R32 person, but the driver was being very over cautious, maybe he needs some better tyres, but he can definately take any corner he goes round about 25% quicker than he does, his accelleraing/braking is rather erratic as if he cant decide where to brake, he often goes for a while not accelerating or braking? Never seen a ring vid showing driving quite like it...
@mdr279 you can't quite see as easily on the video, but the lap started out dry and got increasingly more damp in place - the entry into Foxhole (right hander just before the Yokohama bridge) we both just slid wide, that's why we backed off after that!
@BEPSI1990 as you may have seen in some of the comments and notes, the track was very mixed, starting dry then getting damp/wet in parts, the Ring is very very slippery when wet.
I'm pretty sure it is a regulation at almost all tracks and drag strips for the driver to wear a helmet. Also, you can see his helmet in the rearview mirror
