Hi unfortunately we don't have that much information on how the owner acquired those specific seats ,I suggest you should contact your nearest BMW dealer or outlet they might give you concrete information.

If you are US, those seats are EU spec only. US doesn’t get the M sport seats

@@rowser4472 False, the US Spec are the M Sports seats. EU seats are actually the full M seats, obviously not the carbon sport bucket seat which is an option as well on the M2 for example.

The odds of you recuperating the costs is slim to none. Also damage still occurs to the PPF and you are left with a mark in the film that is much hard to fix than a tiny dent would be. So unless you re wrap the car you are essentially protecting the car for the next person that buys it. This is a prime example of the laws of diminishing returns. I am not saying PPF doesn’t protect your care. I am saying it is not worth the exorbitant cost.

People who have very expensive cars want to protect them. If the film gets damaged it did its job. Then they replace the film in that area only and continue to be protected. If done by the right installer, and if maintained, it is a good move...Again, assuming someone can afford it…The price difference between low and high tier PPF installers is pretty huge, and so is the result.

You really didn’t address anything I said. Again yes it protects your car but even for very expensive cars it is a bad investment. Even a very expensive car unless you are planning on keeping the car long term which people with very expensive cars rarely do all you are doing is paying a bunch of money to protect the car for the next guy. Your comment about just replacing the area that is damaged is misguided. That is very rarely possible. You almost always have to replace a very large piece. Installers, rightly so want to use the biggest pieces they can. Bottom line is, you will never be able to show me a case where PPF didn’t lose you money in the long term. I know there are many people that swear by this stuff. Great go spend a bunch of money on it if it makes you happy. However, if you are saying it is actually a good investment that is factually wrong.
