Out of all honesty, the car looks great. There's a lot of shit you did wrong. All of these unneccessary stickers you put(even tho this vid is like 7 years old lol), remove those. All that's supposed to be white is blue, you put goddamn chrome instead of metallic silver. The wheels are wrong, you're better off getting custom made ones. Autosculpt is seriously wrong and the spoiler is wrong, supposed to be carbon fiber. It still looks nice though. :)
Yoare right it looks nice, but it definitly isn't a copy of the NFS MW one :D Even if the silver stuff is chrome on this one the whole graphic isn't coompletly right... :)
Usually, front bumpers have a temperature sensor which sends it up to the theromstat on the dash. Most aftermarket bumpers move the thermostat way too far back (or just get rid of it completely) for it to actually work.
Maybe if it had the correct wheels, the correct body kit, the correct color, the correct paint scheme, and the correct spoiler...then it would be a copy. But you guys still did an amazingly sick job on it though!
they fucked up the vinyl, the blue is too dark, the (supposed to be) clear white stripes are totally off, the spoiler isnt carbon fiber, and most of the other fabrication that you would see from NFS:MW is missing. Nice attempt on recreating a video game car, but you guys fell a little short and should never have put NFSMW sticker on it.
marc buchholz Yeah, true, but my dream is to build a working replica with complete rebuild V8 (like the original) and propper paint - no chrome stickers on wrong type of blue.
marc buchholz Nope. It's the matter of turbo and exhaust. The M60B40 motor itself makes about the right sound, problem is if it's been used in US or UK - cheap, high-sulfur fuel damages the engine and it looses compression. Also I've heard about some problems with the engine's electronics and that - if not connected properly everywhere - half of the cylinders might just not work. (they move but because of the other half)
correct! to some degree @ least. as some U.S. m3 owners already know, you can actually achieve close to top speed in fifth gear as oppose to sixth because engine speed is not limited in fifth. though one could simply just drop D/A, Dinan, etc. software and not have to worry about it!
no the V8 in the E46 M3 GTR was a purpose-built race engine that BMW made just to beat porsche in LeMans one year. they put like 20 of them into production just to satisfy the LeMans regulations (lemans cars have to be modified production cars)
The only thing you could do to better it in my opinion is to lower it slightly more or use gas shocks, so you can get over speed bumps when you need too, but have it super low for track days and racing.
Thats right, if they saw all the video they should notice that in 0:58 he turns on the motor and theres no smoke, so actually it was just a cold morning xD
The actual M3-GTR has a V8, and stock M3 style wheels too, I think. Really well engineerd Mods for a BMW would probably be from Mahle, Bosch, and BMW themselves. Those wheels must then be Ray's.
I don't care about the paint, this car is phenomenal, and you people only dislike it, cause you have a cheap mazda or honda in your garage, and dream of a car like that!
Yea, agreed. Spoiler is way too small and low. And it doenst look like the ingame spoiler. Front bumper has carbon at the front which is too much in my opinion. Painting is nice, but its gotta be just white and blue divided with small black lines. NO chrome. Thats just way too much. Rims are nice. Exhaust is at side but too small. The rest looks awesome, especially the sound! Amazing job there. I would buy that if I had the money :P
They got the STRIPES right, but only the bonnet has a V shaped blue vinyl and the rear has the bumper covered with the same blue vinyl. Otherwise, the car is silver.
Well... i have new Evo but i usually drive Charger SRT8 which i got from my father when i get married. When i lived in my dad's house i usually loved to "borrow" his good old M3 E36.
You can tell by the way the vinyls have been put on that the blue was the original colour. I'm guessing they didn't want to spend money respraying it silver.
this is an BMW M3 E46 that is made to look like a BMW GTR, there are a lot of body kits and modders can do this. :) this is not a racer, its an factory road car. You wont get an GTR anywhere else than in an racing team.
next thing you know some dude will make his corvette like cross`s corvette :P and the 2 kids will play in the city :P it sounds like a lot of fun seeing that thing :P
@binGoo0oo You really want to talk about all the pieces that need oil. This particular problem is based on destroying the cylinder walls cause of the oil not getting the right density so it can fully do its part of oiling the cylinder walls. I'm just saying the damage is minimal in newer cars due like i said before, the progress that has been made through out the years. And about the turbo, same thing, oil-density-temperature, translatory movement and rotary movement, it differs a lot.
NIce kit bro. BMW GTR for teh road went for 250,000 euros. BMW probably had to shell out millions to develop teh racing version of teh ALMS wining M3 GTR.
@barnsklg that's because the M3 and M3 CSL had 6 cylinder straight engines, the GTR had a V8, u should put the engine of the new M3 in it, that#s a 4 liter V8 like the GTR's one
everythings alright...just the major error is that the colors are inverted...the car's white with blue vinyls...not the other way anyways, regardless of what other people say...this is cool
