1:10 am in Australia and I stay up to see the vids he is for sure my favourite car youtuber cause he show the entire process. It’s pretty inspiring to do this myself
Jordan is kind of slow at responding but the dude is a one man show over at RKTunes. Big shoutout to that guy getting my s52 dialed in. Great job picking him up Jimmy 👍🏼.
wobbly sauce Yes, which is why I also mentioned it’s a one man show. I get he’s working hard but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a slower service than usual. It’s better warning people before they get his product than not knowing and bitching about it.
Always have loved your positive attitude. Makes everything more enjoyable to watch. You’re a genuinely good guy Jimmy, never change a thing! Love all your videos. I watch you, rudnik and tommy every single day. You guys are the best, dude. Can’t wait for more awesome content!
So glad you went with the n52. I think this is a great move. I had a 328 with that motor and had 0 issues with it. Although not boosted still very reliable.
Hey Jimmy, I am loving the new music score for your out trow (closing credits): I am not bitter!!😀. Keep up the great videos with solid informative content. You are definitely providing a BOOST of encouragement to the in the car scene in the New England region. Also I can not get enough of Be-Haul, skilled, funny, and likeable. Keep it up.
Dude, try SHOUT liquid laundry detergent on your engine and engine bays. It will change your life. Plus, it wont etch your aluminum. Also, it works fantastic to clean dirt bikes, ATV's, SxS etc. When I lived in Florida not much could get all that orange clay off my Scrambler 850XP. A guy at the local MX track put me on the shout bandwagon. Try it.. DOOO IIIIITTT!!!
Hullo Jimmy... U should get a bigger woodruff key on da BMW crank pulley.. Alberto big boost has endless grief with his one. 👍 😊 ✌ 👌.. Yr channel's always rocking bro.. Keep pumping da awesome content..🔥
As soon I was going to comment to change the oil filter housing gasket, Jimmy says okay I'm changing going the gasket on the oil filter housing. Low key was like good man good man😂😂 but also one other thing you can do to the engine is check every hose for vacuum leaks, BMWs are KNOWN for having issues with cracked vacuum hosew
I was just thinking that! I use easy off at work to clean 15yr old burners, comes out looking fresh affff. But be careful! It burns skin, don’t ask me how I know that loool.
front main seal is under timing cover and to get timing cover off and on you need the sump off, so unless im missing something you are going to need to pull the sump off again and get a timing cover gasket.
Kasam I was talking about wheel cleaner, not brake cleaner, I wouldn't use brake cleaner because it might eat plastic stuff and wires and shit like that, but from what I've heard it depends of the brake cleaner and the type of plastic. I was talking about the stuff that comes in spray bottles to clean dirty wheels...
Make sure your pulleys line up. As far as i know you need a small spacer to get the correct alignment..thats how i did it when i did the m50 housing. I dont remember the correct size spacer, but a quick google search will find it.
Jimmy you should of safety tied the oil pump nut while you had the oil pan off. They like to back out on E36's and E46's if you plan on being on higher RPMs especially now you're boosted. When the nut backs out, your engine is donezo.
if you add more toe in you should be able to counter the camber wear to a point. e36 m3 specs are 6mm total toe in on the rear from memory. seems like a lot but works on lowered e36s and should help the 240 also maybe add a couple mil and see
Probably should have tacked welded that oil pump nut holding the gear on. Or drill a hole the the corner of the nut and wire it to the gear. Just thought I'd suggest it seeing how it's a common problem, coming loose and losing oil pressure. I popped my last m52 and that was the cause.
I'm european and liked 325i better than 328i, but after learning more about m50's and m52's, I definitely changed my mind. 328i = Low end torque for days.
buy the microsquirt and gm iat, 3bar map. you will learn alot about standalone ecus and you dont need to mess with ancient chip tuning and shitty oem ecus. also there is huge support for megasquirt and bmw so you can get all kinds of start up maps very easily.
Hey jimmy can I get a ride alone this Friday night at Thompson?? I wanna get into drifting and I believe it was you who said I should go on a ride along first haha.
Jimmy you should have cleaned your engine like I cleaned my Supra transmission for the RWD scion tC swap. Try it next time on your swaps if you actually want clean aluminum👍 better than milk, engine degreaser, or oven cleaner😂
JIMMY NOOOO. You're supposed to put rtv on the head at the edge of the camshaft half moons and on the vanos unit to head contact point! Hopefully you dont have any leaks...
I come to watch you first now.... Cause you actually build cars.. TJ watches others build his car and shows 2 mins of it... then 6 mins of dogs, pitbikes, girlfriend and clickbaits. You, Adam, then what ever, then possibly ill watch TJs half arsed video.
Bro you need some good highly alkaline car care product to clean that shit off the engines, like some wheel cleaner, trust me i used to wash excavators for a living 😂👍🏻
I laughed way too hard at "apparently I have more camber than I thought" because that's what I'm expecting out of my build... Haven't swapped tires yet....
