Zoltan Benedek I know but the S63 S has more similar hp and torque numbers to those in the M760Li and it also has AWD, unlike the S65 which is RWD.

Zoltan I disagree. The S63 is the top performance S class and the M760Li is the same for BMW, so they fit together quite well. In your logic, the S63 would be competing against the V8 BMW models like the 750i. That will be a sad thing for the BMW as the difference in 0-100 is a full second between these vehicles. Even the Alpina B7 with the V8 is over 0.2 seconds behind on the S class number.

The engine of this M760i is reported to be exactly the same engine that BMW ships to ENGAND to be installed on the Rolls Royce,so you can't make these 2 compete,I mean a Rolls Royce engine is a beast and an M3 is a baby.

As an M3 fan I really hope they finally drop a bomb under the hood with the next generation. I mean the are no slacks when it comes to heritage enginewise but I would like to see more displacement. But then again would it still be an m3? Big engines were never it's thing, but with the evolution of the competition they may not have a choice.
