Sorry to hear it. I own 2010 S1000RR with 22.000km as a track bike, 2014 HP4 with 32.000km and a new GS Adventure. First owner since new. No failures, no problems, nothing, just riding and regular maintenance. The only bike I really had problems with, was a Honda in 1985, but bought many Honda's after it and had no problems. Bikes have engines and many parts to break, I guess you just had bad luck.
I visited EICMA on Thursday. The Scrambler, that is seen in this video is not the one it as shown for public. The one displayed for public visitors had no special parts, and looked nicer by my opinion. I guess they exchanged the bike after the journalists left.
They will need more than cool looks, bells and whistles to get past the reliability issues and poor warrantee support to get past their more recent reputation.
