What a great trip. I hope they can offer this now after convid or whatever it was. I watched this series back to back after the recent Suzuki 1050 V Strom ride in Greece just released on the Lamb Chop Rides channel.
Great video series and amazing roads but these videos point out one of the disadvantages of a hired tour or even riding with a group. I often tour alone because I can stop when I want to stop, see what I want to see. Find a great town? Just stay for an extra day or two. People ask if I don't get lonely out on the road alone. Never. As anyone watching this no doubt knows simply showing up on a bike kitted out with all your gear almost guarantees people will come up and talk to you. Some places are more friendly than others but that's always the case, isn't it?
A correction in your pronunciation, it’s ancient Mycenae not Marcenae. Also it’s Nafplio, you don’t pronounce the P in Nafplio. And Mycenae was a walled city not a castle. It is spectacular for sure. I can’t figure out why you would not think the roads are sealed in Greece, especially the country roads. Ahm also how about learning to say Kalimera- it means good morning. And no more wows - it’s so annoying to hear this all the time. Greece is a wonderful place to tour for sure.
what a treat!! someday i will do a long trip with my dream motorcycle and its gonna cost a lot of money but i'm just gonna bear with it for now.. btw u're one lucky bloke.
Awesome trip John, thanks for bringing us along on it. Am guessing the smell along Pig Shit Lane was you getting over the Pizza! :D Love the One X footage, it works so well in the bright light environment! :-)
+10 wows! Really nice set of vids. Great to see there's still some surprises & new things to discover not too far away & never would've thought of Greece for a specific bike holiday. Very nice job! Only criticism is no smashed plates at the end to celebrate. ; )
Great set of video's, just seen a negative comment about the tour and cost, I managed to do Black forest and Switzerland for £400 last year, just go on your own and camp. I find your videos give me ideas of new places to go and see, great content👍
Thanks Peak! Yes good points, of course you can go cheaper with your own bike but if you want to venture outside of or outskirts of Europe you need to fly and ride when you arrive which isnt cheap :-)
Superb series of videos, entertaining and informative. Thank you for the time and effort you put into editing them. Money being no object, if you could chose any bike to do the tour (solo), what would it be?
Thanks Nigel really appreciated, good question... With the roads we went on I think it would be amazing to do it on a Hypermotard or big Supermoto.. But then the miles we covered maybe tough on that.. Superduke GT or maybe the XR1000 would be brilliant!
Fast enough Chris for the bike I was riding, great thing is you dont have to follow the guide you can meet them at the next waypoint. We had two couples doing that on this tour
cant say im a fan of this or missendon flyers videos of look how much money i have to spend on bike holidays, videos even if you are getting them free for the free press it just feels like your rubbing all us poor peoples noses in it
Sorry you feel that way Ed, the idea is if someone is thinking about a Motorrad Tour then this is a great way of them getting to see what they expect out of it. Otherwise its a leap of faith and as you say they are not cheap so at least they get a feeling of how the tour will be run.
