Your the lucky one getting those bolts undone. I even strapped the whole engine to the bench and with a long breaker bar was still unable to crack one loose, the pressure lifted the whole bench and in the end either snapped the T50 or twisted it. Frustrating when its just one bolt holding you back. Do you intend to split the block? Do you plan to rebuild to get a running engine? Ideas for cleaning the block? I'd also be interested how you keep your components together? Bagging bolts and bits? Plastic bins? Fab job.
Hi, yeah i always use a new or very good T50 short socket, they go with a bang, ill look up torque setting but im sure there only 50nm Ill be stripping the whole engine and doing videos of every component, i Im going to refurb all the caseings and repaint them, then do rebuild videos, thank you for watching
Check this video (if you haven't): Past. Present. Future The New Boxer R 1100 RS (1993) An hour long BMW video explain how the R1100RS or new Boxer engine with telelever platform was develop, it toke 4 years, the R1100RS was from start on develop to handle offroad. While being on the test track they exited the tarmac and rode aside it while having a taptop on the tank and a second one on the back suite case holder. The 1200 seems to have a knock sensor, probably being able to sense 95/98 fuel.
@@Tattytyres yeah just the one side , suppose if the flywheel is locked using the looking tool, then the side that's being removed should be the only one under strain.
