BMW R1200GS Rear shock. 

good video, shows how to remove the rear shock easily, a couple of safety notes: centerstand should be tied to the front rim so the bike will not fall if it rocks forward, the negative battery post should be removed just in case the 15mm wrench he was using were to grab the positive battery post.
