What happened to the Vstrom 800 full review? I hope that’s still coming. You are my favorite bike review channel and I wanted to get back into motorcycles and was considering that one. Been checking on your page everyday for weeks now
I need a Naked roadster / scrambler Whixh I can ride Comfortabky for 400kms in a day For a total of 10 days. Thats like 4000+ km round trip back home. If that idea doesn't work outthen I will buy anADV Like 1250 gs Mostly for road touring. Cos that heavy beast isn't for me when it comes to off roads. So what do u suggest.. Whixh naked roadster / scrambler had the mostly comfy ride setup which will make me forget about the 1250 gs Or am I only dreaming. Is this burning an eternal flame 🔥 ? (1988 bangles)
I watch this video a few times already since it was released..lol I may get a 22 , 1250 gs so I'm trying to remember everything you say as I know you are extremely familiar with that bike.
HELLO Ian! Love your reviews. I got a question brother, hoping you can help. Im looking for a bike for gig work, uber/doordash. The most important factor would be reliability (i would be riding 10hours a day 6/7days a week).. also having a decent rack in the back where i could install a bag carrier of some sort. What bike would you recommend? The Himalayan enfield seems like a decent choice or the honda 500x. Id love your opinion, if you get a chance please reply ! 🙏🏽
Hey Ian, first of all, great video. I saw the double mount mirrors on the list of accessories. I’ve been thinking about buying them for my R 1200 GS 2018. Do you know if I need the 8mm or the 10mm threat for the handlebar mount? Anyway, thanks for your content and keep the vids coming!!
Please test a Kawasaki 300L Veresys as a step up from the K 230 s/sm bikes. Seems to be a poor man’ African Twin / Trans Alps - like light touring Adv machine.
Love you videos Can you send me the name model or link to your windshield spoiler please. I really need one and would like a good one, not a cheap thing off AMAZON Thanks
Do you think a skid plate is necessary if you wont do any offloading? Does the headlight protector shine back into your view at night? Read that they might and I ride home from work at midnight every night. Great content, thanks!
I bought the Puig medium size spoiler from Rocky Mountain using your link. It's a great addition to my stock KLR windshield. It really makes a difference to have the ability to adjust and fine tune the wind deflection with changing weather conditions. This is one of the best moto add-ons I've ever purchased. Thank you.
Great video thanks! I'd love to know which of these accessories will fit the 2024 R 1300 GS when that comes out. I know you probably can't answer that right now. I'm hoping to get one a quick as possible when it's released.
The Touratech stuff is hard to beat. Also, if one watches the exchange rate, sometimes there are huge bargains to be had buying from an overseas vendor or eBay.
As you own these bikes and get to service intervals, do you have other choices for things like brake pads when they are due...? Aftermarket ones, or do you use BMW factory ones... a bit like tyres, there are other options and some may be better in different circumstances... ? brake pads are a simple thig to fit yourself, so it's not really a dealer service only thing where they always use the OEM parts...
Not trying to be facetious here, but what is the big deal with these bikes (BMW GS)? For years I've heard how awesome they are but last year I demo'd one for a little while and it didn't seem anything special. It's just another full-size ADV bike. It's heavy, it's very expensive and probably not as reliable as the Japanese competitors. It almost seems like BMW's version of a Goldwing.
Could you do some playlists for like bike reviews, parts and accessories, etc? I like to go back and see your opinion on stuff but hate scrolling through all the vids. I’m lazy. Lol
@@BigRockMoto OMG I’m an idiot. I clicked on playlists but didn’t click the arrow to show the rest of them. I figured you were organized and yup, you already were. 🤦🏼♂️
interesting that you prefer the Motoz over the Dunlops, i've been a devout trailmax mission lover on my my GS for over a year now. Sadly the Motoz are so much more cost wise over the Dunlops here in Canada that i don't think i could justify them, especially given the excellent mileage and great all around road manners i get with the trailmax's. Thanks for all the great content Ian.
I did 15000km through Africa fully laden on a Gsa & still had half my tread left on the tyre afterwards. will always pick a Motoz. Price isn't a factor on a reliable tyre when you are in the boonies. No punctures in soft sand to rock to tar. Pick your poison.
@@skydaddy2426they were fine on hard packed, but any sand or loose stuff and they just skate around and go from solid to sliding in an instant with no warning. I’m running Motoz now and although noisy they are much much better.
