In this video we are replacing a rear wheel bearing on a BMW 1 series (e87) also the same on the E9x models also!
We do this wheel bearing without using a press, Yes it would have been easier but this shows it can be done!
Tools needed -
18mm spanner and sockets
21mm spanner and sockets
5mm Allen key
little pic's
grips
Hammers
various sockets to smash the bearing out

If you can’t get it out with fire and hammers, you aren’t using enough fire and hammers.

I had to replace the coil spring on a rover 75 the other week.. Pinch bolt was proper seized so had to remove the whole strut.. amazingly, the driveshaft came straight out the hub.. was dreading it would be seized in, due to the age and mileage of the car.. but slid straight out.. Happy days.. yet ive had cars less than 3 years old and had to destroy the shaft and hub getting things removed..

If you unscrew the wishbones from the steering knuckle, do you not need to do an alignment? I will do it soon and im interesting if I have to do alignment if I only unscrew wishbones form the steering knuckle side

It is advised for an alignment as your moving a lot of of the components! Also might be worth checking the alignment bolts move freely ect! They can snap!

You need to remove the torch crews on the inside and remove the axle in order to loosen it up or dismount the knuckle
