Great video!!! Thank you for the clear and complete explanations, it’s chirurgical precision!! I will try to install racing clip-ons on my 23 model! Hope it’s not too different!!
Have the same exact bike and many Gilles bits which are outstanding (rearsets, crask protection) .Same titanium Akra full system Yes,bending the fork tube in a crash is common and I've seen it first hand. I went with the woodcraft clipons which have tons of adjustment and also have risers which puts them at the same height and distance as OEM which I like. Also , installed Ohlins internals for the forks and TTX GP shock which made a big diff. The marzocchi susp is good but the Ohlins on a different level. Great videos
Solid vid as ever, appreciate the thoroughness. I looked up parts availability and can find the full kit but not replacement bars. Have you sourced those? link?
nice work man! i don’t have many tools you mentioned though, but will need at minimum to do the right clip on, i want gillets, but afraid may not be able to handle the labor on my own, decisions, decisions..
Really appreciate these videos, many thanks. So in a most common LHS and RHS off what would be the cost and time to repair. I’m hoping if you took the sacrificial parts with you you could make a repair on track?
Thanks for leaving the kind note - those comments keep me actually going to make those niche videos. In an ideal case you just damage your bar-end , food peg and potentially other sliders but such a lucky crash will only happen at pretty low speeds. I don't race so I usually avoid the crashing part , but after my last crash ruining my fork tube I certainly wanted to make this clipon change !
