I'm sure you noticed by now, but when you launch the bike your right hand turn signal came loose and moved back about an inch. You may want to tighten the pinch bolt so it doesn't fall off.👌
Yeah few people mentioned it and I took a look and was surprised to find it is pretty much tight. It is a design fault I don't think you can tighten the bracket enough. It's back in place but I feel it has the potential to slide down the stanchion again
It’s looking good. Shame BMW ditched the radial master cylinder off of the previous model. I ride my 2019 through the winter and it holds up well if you clean it properly
Beautiful bike! The new M1000R is an absolute monster......bet you kinda wish you waited now. Nobody knew they would be putting the 200+hp (claimed) full send boogie S1000 engine in this bike. I have a great time on my simple mt10 but oh what a dream bike this is for me......YEEEE HAW!
In Canada the starting price for the M1000 is 10K over the S1000, after taxes and bmw’s infamous up charges you’re probably $15,000 above, that’s a lot of cash on top of an already expensive bike for an extra 40 horses, but it is also probably the nicest looking bike for sale in my opinion.
No doubt the latest M1000R is going to be insane! Maybe one day I will get a go on one to compare the two. But honestly if I waited it would have cost me £6000 more and I lost a year with the S1000R
Looks and sounds amazing 👌 I’ve just treated myself ( or Santa is bringing me ) and lovely new Gen3 superduke fully unlocked for Christmas 😁 Looking forward to trying that launch control on mine 👌👍🏼
I thought launch control just maps the throttle/traction control for you... i.e. hold a constant throttle and feather the clutch out gradually (works on my blade)
Not like a car no you still have to feed the clutch in but if you set the rider aids up you can pretty much hold the throttle wide open and let the TC and anti wheelie take over. If you're too heavy on the launch though and get too much wheel spin the bike will kill the power if the rider aids are turned up
The new 2023 model looks the muts nuts. I've put a refundable deposit down on one. Need to compare it to my current remapped Z H2 to see if it's worth the money.
Hi Rye I’m thinking of upgrading my s1000r with that exhaust but it doesn’t sound as good as an Austing Racing for example. Maybe the video sound doesn’t do it justice. How do you compare the sound of black widow to other brands on the market?
The Austin racing will be a lot loud... this exhaust sounds rounded, creates a deeper sound and you can ride without the need for earplugs. Austin racing is a little shorty exhaust and will sound a lot louder and open. This Blackwidow sounds so much better than the standard exhaust without being obnoxiously loud
@@BikesofRye interesting. I have had owned 2 x Gen 1 XR’s. Current on a 2021 M Sport XR (remapped & full system). No launch control on mine. Interesting
