I have a 2011 Gen 1. By all reports the later models have become more comfortable, less raw, and more manageable, even though they have a little more power. I'm thinking of trading up to a Gen 4 as a present to myself on my next birthday, my 70th :)
Sweet! Do it why not haha :) but yes you are right from what I have read, but this is the first one I have ridden so will check out how the rest compare :)
Once you have had a bike like that, nothing else will do....Also check all your suspension set up to avoid the slappers - preload, rebound, and compression. Check suspension's static sag too for your weight, with your leather, etc on. Ride Safely - that what's Track Days are for !!!
Because I’m 17 and like you mentioned I have a r-125 and love it, it felt soo weird coming off an upright bike onto a sport style but once used to it it’s beautiful... keep up the content and lovely purchase!
Best 1000cc you could've bought for your 1st sports bike, so easy to ride, so light, nice purchase dude. I'll have an RR one day . only done test rides but love that bike.
@@TheDonInLondon Been doing that a lot lately... even unsubbed me from a bunch of channels, comments wont load and just being weird all of a sudden. Think RU-vid is drunk 😂
Welcome to the club bro... sports bikes all the way... commuting mmmm, you get use to it eventually but a pain, hence why I don’t commute on my R6... ride safe mate Ps that position is called “at one with the bike” lol ball slapped 😂
Haha cheers buddy, nah I don't commute with them anyway but I am use to the position already just my nuts are not so happy... can be painful at random times haha
When you shift up on a Bmw to get the smoothest change the engine needs to be on load and to change down the throttle should be rolling off. It took me some time to really understand getting it perfect. Be careful you can really fuck yourself up with one of them
@@TheDonInLondon no problem dude somewhere like K Tech will sort it out. I noticed it seemed a bit stiff going down that road where you had the wobble you mentioned
My friend if you hear BMW s1000rr going for it and change gear at the red line is prison time 😅 first gear is 90mph or 100 mph I got the gen1 S1000RR too
I know how you ryde... just be careful, that the bike i wham to buy one day but i always scared to ryde, is the only reason to don't get that bike....i have many opportunities to ryde in ace cafe but i always say to my friend's NO THANKS... because i will buy next day ..
Now do your commute on it, you'll have fun at Old St in the mornings I promise you. Funnily enough it was constantly bumping into you on that KTM that made me consider an addition to the CBR for commuting and getting about town.
