in all fairness you are talking about a first generation mille with maybe 115 horsepower against the bmr with almost twice the power, id take the Aprilia everyday for an all around great bike with respect to the bmw
The RT of the mille rider was so much slower the bmw was long gone before he moved! Still prefer the mille even though it would have had no chance regardless. Love Aprilias.
A decent rider on the aprilia, especially a fettled rsvr, would have closed that gap a surprising amount. 200bhp v's 128bhp was only ever going to end in one way. I've ridden both the s1000r and owned several aprilia rsv gen1 bikes. The rsv has what no s1000 has...it's got soul, and that grunty v60 heart. Possibly one of the most sublime handling and useable superbikes ever made for the road. Love 'em!
@@matthiaseb2928 agreed but not over 400m plus 300 kph on track is one thing but on most roads here? No chance. Trouble with all new sports bikes is they're just too track oriented and nanufacturers have lost touch with the most intuitive and in tune power for most riders on the road. That is the power you can almost fully utilise regularly yet not put ypurself or anyone else at risk. I also prefer the more visceral raw and honest experience of bikes without all the electronic engine modes. Keep that for the suspension. I wont be selling my Mille any time soon. Most in touch visceral experience most in tune with the aberage rider probably ever made....oh and that noise!
@@ReferenceFidelityComponents yeah- I have the gen 1 Tuono and very happy with it. Only thing is that I don’t really ride her that often because one start sucks out about half the battery’s Power😂
