This is the first part of a little roadtrip to Kröv in Western Germany. On this journey from Aachen to Kröv I decided to take the fun route via the Eifel Nationalpark and the Nürburgring.
Because this video is made at the end of November the roads are cold and damp, so I drove with caution.

Another quick suggestion practice apex points while entering and exiting a corner. It’s much more safer

Try to avoid first gear in corners. It could cause traction issues while opening the throttle.

leuke video,op die modder na dan!!..ik heb die weg al zeker 30-40 keer gereden op weg naar de nürburgring..ik téken ervoor om ooit een XR te rijden.fantastische machine.rij safe,en alle plezier met je XR gewenst..

Als je ooit in de positie komt om een XR te rijden, dan is het zeker aan te raden! Hij zal je verwachting zeker niet teleurstellen.

Habe dein Video zufällig gesehen. Diesen Streckenteil kenne ich bestens. Warim du allergings so bewusst die ersten Gänge in den Kurven nutzt ist mir unverständlich. Die Kurven kann man ganz easy im 3. und 4. Gang fahren, auch ohne diesen Lärm den du mit deiner Fahrweise erzeugst. Oder wolltest du nur den Sound im Video zeigen?? Du bist leider einer der Sorte Biker die in Deutschland sehr unbeliebt sind, wegen ihrer Fahrweise mit diesen "erlaubten" Auspuffanlagen. Sorry, aber das muß man nicht verstehen. Wenn du in dem Stil durch Ortschaften fährst wundere dich nicht das sich die Anwohner an den Kopf fühlen.

Mooie motorfiets, en véél toeters en bellen... Maar! Leer eerst rijden vooraleer je een motorfiets als deze aanschaft. De eerste versnelling gebruik je enkel om vanuit stilstand te vertrekken (deze XR doet het zelfs met gemak in tweede versnelling), en niet om een flauwe bocht in te gaan! Uw bochten neem je ook helemaal verkeerd, trouwens... Eigenlijk is dit een beetje zielig om naar te kijken. Of gaat het hier enkel om de sound van je uitlaat, en dat je daarom aan 90km/u in 2de rijd...? Een open uitlaat is ook écht niet meer van deze tijd, zelfs op circuit worden ze verbannen en zijn ook compleet nutteloos. Tenzij om omwonenden te ergeren.. En da zie ik dat je twee verschillende bandenmerken gebruikt ! Doe dit niet, aub... Denk aan je eigen veiligheid, en aan dat van een ander. Ga op motorcursus, en rij vooral op een motor die bij jou past vooraleer er ongelukken gebeuren. Het is maar een tip, en het is nooit te laat om bij te leren. ;)

Hellow, what a beautiful Bike. I tried it a few days ago and it’s really amazing, I can ride fast and very confortable . I have a speed 1200 rs and I am thinking to sell it to buy the bmw. Have you had any issues? Thanks for the video

The bike has done 16.000+ kilometers since March 2021. Not a single problem or whatsoever. Only the cost of the 10.000 scheduled maintenance and tires. The bike behaves excellent so far!

Op schaal van 1 tot 10 hoe comfortabel is het zadel voor lange afstanden? 150km+

Dat is heel persoonlijk, waardoor er niet zomaar een cijfer aan te geven is. Het is geen dik zadel, maar dat past bij het sportieve karakter van de motor vind ik. Ik heb zelf gemerkt dat de broek die je draagt veel bijdraagt aan het comfort. Zo gleed ik met een textiele broek van voor naar achter, terwijl ik met mijn leren pak strak op het zadel blijf zitten. Mijn persoonlijke voorkeur gaat daarom ook uit naar rijden in volledige leren pak. Na 16.000km in nog geen 1,5 jaar, vind ik het nog niet waard om te upgraden naar een ander zadel. Ik hoop dat dit je vraag enigzins beantwoord.

This is the original Akrapovic silencer that BMW offers with the sport package. The DB-killer is also OEM from BMW, but it doesn't come with the bike. Because the middle box does all the sound damping with the original headers. I chose to buy the DB-killer for longer roadtrips like this, because it's more comfortable at stable rpm's on the highway etc. I bought the DB-killer at BMW, but was surprised to see that it didn't fit. the fitment was to tight on the lower part, so I made a cut in it (which can be seen in the video 0:19). This way the bottom compresses and the DB-killer fits comfortably and is easy to remove.

These are from AliExpress, they cost €14,-. You can also purchase them from Wünderlich, but that would cost you around €120. The ones I use are the "smoke" tinted version.

@@s1000xr_hp hi, have you got a link for these ones you bought ? Also any fitment issues ? I bought a set from eBay but the bar end was too big and wouldn’t sit right on in the guard due to having a raised piece of plastic.
