Curious if the lag is improved with other OBD2 - Bluetooth adaptors. I’ve heard the Keis adaptor is faster but it’s five times the price. … I’m wired with an enet cable for now so I’ll give this a shot wired and report back.
Well that was a letdown. “A Bluetooth OBD adapter is required for CarPlay mode.” Ugh, it worked on my iPhone 15 Pro though … just with a phat yellow wire attached to it. Still shopping for the fastest communicating OBD2 adaptor for BMW.
Can’t wait to see the new car are you staying in the lite club? I got an m240i I just got a year ago and the itch to get the bm3 is growing stronger and stronger and just feel like I’m gonna make the move how much did all the mods approximately cost? Have a great day man!
I’ll give you a hint, it’s got an M badge on the back and it’s not another M-lite! 😉 All in including cosmetics and performance probably about $3-4k total for the 240
@@mevans313congrats man, when are you planning on making the unveil did you already receive it? And are you trade in the 240i in? If so did the mods impact the value of the trade in. Do you think it’s a good thing to just go with the mods to truly experience the car? Thanks
@XxTahtohxXx I’ll be filming the reveal this weekend, and the mods actually didn’t impact the car at all, at least for private sale. I already have someone who agreed to buy it off me for a good price!
How long does it usually take you to connect to your car through bimmerlink? I have the OBD Link CX and find that the app is now slower lately to connect to the car.
If I leave it plugged in and pull the app up in CarPlay, it does it automatically quite quickly. Doing it manually on my phone, takes maybe 15-30 seconds to read all my stuff and connect
@@mevans313 so I bought OBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner which claims to be the fastest Bluetooth scanning tool on the market (and it’s more diverse for make/models). I’ll report back in a day or two - exactly 10-min after Amazon drops it off on my porch! I want the boost gauge in the milliseconds of a delay!
