This is my favorite car on earth. Cheaper or more expensive cannot substitute this. The panoramic roof almost gives like a convertible The engine gives a race car feel The height gives it a hint of SUV After the timing belt flaw, thermostat flaw. I hope there is nothing left! I want to keep this car for at least another 8 years
@@cmonbruv4816 i didnt fix the thermostat flaw. Keeping the engine slightly cooler keeps it alive longer! The oil doesnt evaporate. 15000 km no oil change yet. I have castrol extended. But the oil is still yellow! The car stays new. Excellent performance. Timing chain flaw is true in canada though, bmw canada is a mafia. All other countries checked cars, fixed free the flaw. Thats my bad luck only! But best car ive ever had though!
@@raizosgoldandtravel At this point, it costed me an extra 10000 dollars this year alone to maintain. So i use this car as advice for my friends getting married. Use her hard and have fun together as much as you can, if your wife is anything like my bmw x1. You will love her after 2 years and it would be a privilege to pay any maintenance
I am the owner of the same model 20d. Because the timing chain is making a lot of noise, I am not currently driving it and am using another vehicle. But I really love this model. I haven't decided anything yet because the cost of repairs is the same as buying a new car. Don't you have this problem? Also I am wondering if you have any good solution to this problem. In the end, is there no other way than to rip out the engine and replace the timing chain? If that's the case then sadly my old friend will be sent to the grave
