That was a great help. The only thing that I did differently was just to spray the screw with WD-40 and not moving it at all. Now it’s working perfectly with no noise whatsoever.

That works as well however it’s not a permanent fix noise will come back as soon as wd40 wears off, ask me how I know 😉if you back screw out it will never come back 🙂

Hint!! Just did the job, super easy!! Dont mess with using t15 torx bit. It breaks with little to no force because the screw is freaking HOLLOW PLASTIC. What I did is place a flat head screw driver directly on the plastic screw in the slit behind the middle adjusting arm where the screw meets the steering column and give the butt of the screw driver a few firm wacks with a hammer, the screw will break off super easy. Voila, no more squeal!!! (At 4:39, center of the screen, you can see a flat metal piece on left side, steering column adjusting arm in the middle, then the steering column)

No problem👍, Thank you 🙏 it’s that set screw I showed in the video it’s to close to the column over time it’s just wears through and develops this noise when column moves, thankfully it’s easy fix as I showed, no more funny noises 😁

Thanks a lot for this movie. Now I know how to remove plastic cover from steering wheel column, I must take a look inside because my steering wheel does not give sound but I can't move it up and down. However it moves forward and backward. It is frozen in high position, and it annoys me a lot because I don't see odometer. Do you have any idea what the reason might be how to solve it?
