I think the jam session is a cool concept. I think holding out to let everyone know who won is a bad idea though. Seeing leaderboard battle is half of the excitement for spectators and for competitors it drives them to keep going bigger to out do the guy above them.

I’m really glad Xgames is back, but tbh I was hoping for a better course than this. It’s an incredible set up at someone’s house for sure, but 90% of these riders weren’t able to perform at their best because of the backyard setup in my opinion .

Andy is such an awesome guy and rider. I am so happy he took a medal home after another rocky dirt comp. He throws it all on the line and it doesnt pay him as much as i wish it did as far as podiums. Luckily, he gets lots of love from nitro circus, but this is a fitting and deserved gold medal. Congrats andy. I know your mom is proud. Youve got one of the nicest, most supportive moms out there and glad you could take this gold home to share with her.

I don't know how the riders can concentrate with that horrible music in the background but more power to them to do such amazing stunts.

Live scoring is better in my opinion I feel like it makes the riders want to go bigger when they can see what position they are in.

i'm sure pat caseys dogs running around the the park, right in front of where riders were pulling tricks (e.x.10:38 in the park best trick) (who don't know if the dog is going to run out onto the course) wasn't hindering their ability at all. just like i'm sure pat caseys gold and silver medal weren't heavily aided by the competition being IN HIS BACKYARD. it's not about the park or the jumps, it's simply the home park advantage. riding/playing/driving at home is noted as a large advantage in every sport. if he had any sort of honour, he wouldn't have competed this year, or refused to hold the competition. if there was nowhere else to host it, no x-games would have been better than a tainted x-games, and that's with my horses winning and finishing on the podium.

They should be starting the next rider while the first rider is half way down the course, their is way to much downtime while you are waiting for them to go all the way around the course. In skateboard best trick they are always right behind the person in front of them and just bail if the person in front crashes.

This X game's is so great for the simple reason that they took BMX back to the dirt. I remember back in the 1970's BMX was all about the dirt and the free style in the parking lot's, school play ground's, and in the street. It is fantastic to see BMX going back to where it all started.

The way the judging was done on this is a joke.

I know I couldn’t do any better or even a fraction of this (so not throwing shade at them personally) but in general this was prolly one of the worst best trick comp’s I’ve ever seen… I’m not sure if it’s the course, a bad day for the riders, etc. but I remember one of the first years I watched x-games (I think it was 2001, 2002) and the double back flip was a brand new trick in BMX. But I distinctly remember the “double backflip no-hand’er” being landed in the traditional BMX dirt comp and it was the biggest deal….. 20 years later and that’s the best trick to earn gold??
