We had a trip planned to Albuquerque. We rented a house and a van and booked everyone tickets. But you know how BMX trips go, before I knew it thanks mostly to injuries, the crew dwindled from 8 people to 4. Instead of canceling it altogether, we figured we'd just stay a little closer to home. That's one thing about living in LA that makes it so hard to leave, there are just so many spots to ride within an hour's drive and even after living here for 5 years, I still feel like I've barely been to any of them, nevermind took all of my friends to them.
So every day for 10 days we took the crew, consisting of Stevie Churchill, Brandon Begin, Craig Passero and Alex Raban out riding from early in the morning til late into the evening and John Hicks tirelessly captured the tricks. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but there was a real sense of urgency on this trip. Everyone rode their asses off each and every day and by the end, we were all calling it one of the best trips we'd ever been on. It's funny how it just works out like that sometimes. I hope you guys enjoy this one.
