I believe street league has done that a couple of times over the years.

It's a great idea, but it would limit x games park design in two ways: Firstly, x games use a rapid construction method that actually allows them to recycle the concrete between parks, so to build a permeant park of the same size would require more budget at a time when x games seems to have less and less budget. Secondly, park design for competition is different from public park design. In a public park the emphasis is on having multiple lines of one or two hits, both to avoid collisions and also to allow for more users in the same space. Competition park design, especially in something as progressive as x games, is aimed to include as many opportunities for different, creative lines both to challenge the riders, and to allow their individual styles to shine. So whilst it is a good idea in theory, in practice it's not going to happen, at the end of the day X games is there to make money.

I thought the judging was almost perfect. Only thing I would've changed was a 4th place for Alex D

I think Boyds had close to as much energy and flow. Yet he did harder tricks. No one else was doing that gap with a bar. Also the way I think about it is Garrett and boyd could do most tricks that Kevin did. I doubt Kevin could do half the tricks the others guys were doing.

But it wasn’t a street run. Not even close. It was a park run winning a street comp

@@coldworld5besides the flair on the volcano what else was specifically a park trick. Like he did a nose bonk 3 into a feebs easy 1. There was the switch whip drop, the big gap wall ride, nose to bar, nose 3. To me none of those are specifically park tricks

Hilder had les tricks over all, sure that bar to tires was highest risk and the wall 270 maybe, but Kevin's run had more content and 2 big hits

Yeah the first 15 seconds of Kevin's run was some of the flowiest contest riding I've ever seen

They definitely judged it more as a park contest. Ignored the tech for sure . Still happy for KP

Yea I’m kinda with you on this. And I ride street in nyc too. But kp had more speed amplitude flow better course usage and more hits in his run. Only park trick is a flair on a small and long volcano. Was his run as hard as some other guys maybe not but the win or at least a podium was deserved.

The course had quarters and was set up like a park/plaza. Peraza used the course extremely well. He is hands down one of the most well rounded riders.

@@tacoridesbikes It’s not Kevin’s fault they had park like elements with this course. Kevin has done flair fakies on the streets in plenty of his edits. Street doesn’t have to be limited to Jibbing and barspinning every possible obstacle.
