Thank you! I love the transitions too. I really had a lot of fun figuring them out and using sound effects to enhance them too. Thanks for the comment 🙏🏻
Such a great edit dude! A lot of inspiration from this went into my own streets edit I just released. Keep it up dude, we need more stylistic bmx streets edits like this 👊🏼
This is amazing. The riding is the best I've seen in this game so far - so smooth, stylish, and creative - and is probably what'll give me the kick to finally buy the game. If this would've been the trailer on Steam, I would've bought it on day one. The whole thing took me right back to watching my favourite Road Fools sections back in the day.
Thanks for this, bro. It’s been a rough ride for this game. I wrung its neck to make it look this good - it’s definitely a very steep learning curve and can be super frustrating. I’m glad you’re now in the market. Hopefully videos like this can get more people excited to mod the game! And re: your Road Fools comment, that’s a big compliment. I really tried to capture the feeling of forward momentum and total joy of riding bikes. Road Fools 4 forever.
Thanks for this very kind compliment. Yeah, Potato has done so much for this game and getting people excited. Who knows how long he had to turn in the trailer, or what parameters were set. I’m just happy we have the game in some form! Thanks again.
Great video, we definitely had a lot of same ideas on some spots and you gave me a lot if spots and new things to try, love it! Just wanna point out that I thought 3:58 was beautiful, that inspired me for sure.
I like your style! Some of the people I’ve seen play this go a little wild w the barspin and whip combos you went with large gaps and a lot of creative transfers! Gotta say the ghost feeble slider was probably my favorite cause that’s more my style! Great editing 🔥
Thanks, man! So happy you’re digging it. Yeah, the big combos aren’t really for me, but it’s cool that we all have our own styles. I didn’t realise until recently how many big transfers I do. Love those. Thanks again and I hope you subbed! 🙏🏻
Such amazing filming with equally amazing riding and accompanied by the perfect music. I’m sure it took a lot of time to make. Thank you for sharing. 👌
Really hoping the devs stick around to see this game to completion. I'm enjoying it a lot already, with 45 hours in I've burnt through two sets of thumbsticks. There's a lot of work that still needs to be done - loads of clipping issues, default lighting+post-processing is super washed out, challenge difficulty scaling is absolutely ridiculous. Lots of QOL fixes needed, but maybe in 6 months it'll be a different story.
Great comment. Thanks for your thoughts. I agree on all of your points. I think the BMX (and to some extent skate) community has been so starved for this that we’ll take anything. Right now, it’s barely a beta IMO, but I’m easily pleased. I’m just happy that there’s a replay editor.
Thank you, Rich. So happy that you enjoyed it. Also, any comment that starts with ‘dude’ and a full stop is a good comment in my book. Thanks for the support!
Oof, that’s tough. Well, I was in the same boat until two weeks ago. I hadn’t actually played pipe for about four years. I built a PC for the release of the game!
Thank you so much for this. It’s definitely got trailer vibes - I was trying to show different bikes, spots, day-night transitions. Appreciate the comment!
@unclesbones yeah being 3 weeks old there has been a good amount of edits and this tops all that I've seen. Specially having that much skill to make everything look so unique the style the angle really tweaking what the character can do. 👏
Thanks for the comment and the question 🙏🏻 The tricks can take a while, but every now and then they’re a first attempt. Some take up to an hour or more. Editing was about 2-3 days. Glad you liked it!
Yeah, those challenges are all over the place. Some of the areas have horrible frame rates too. Sorry you had a bad experience with it! I hope the dev fixes it soon.
Sometimes the physics can be a bit wonky, also the camera kinda throws landings off to, the camera is very "sticky" to the character, unlike PIPE where it was a bit more free.
Yeah, the physics can be annoying. The dev has added some toggles to make certain things easier or more manageable, but it’s not ideal having to turn on and off if you just want to cruise.
Insane work dude! So many details that make it look even better. Like the little tweak you do in the air on the huge drop at 3:38. Makes so much sense from an old riders perspective! Straight fire my man!
Loving this, and loving reaching out to old riders! I’ve been riding for over twenty years and still loving it. There are some pretty weird and wild bugs in this game (that’s putting it lightly) but the tweaks on tucks make it really fun. I like the one just before that in the pool - the way Chase floats over the tranny and does a little kick out 👌🏻 I went to bed straight after nailing that one. Too good.
I REALLY appreciate this comment. I was torn about that. Thought it was such a rad idea but took ages and I was super disappointed with it for a while. I’m so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting!
That’s was pretty dope stuff dude played alot of pipe just got a pc so I can play bmx streets it’s a lot harder then I remember lol u have skills boss man
Thanks, brother! I built a PC just for this game! It definitely a steep learning curve, and there is a long journey ahead for the dev, but I’m so happy that we have a BMX game!
@@unclesbones yes sir I so stoked for this game people been hating on it but they got to think about the long run and least we got one out an so for to me it’s a really good game can’t wait for the future gonna be sick keep dropping them Bangin videos
@@unclesbones - Yeah I only know because I tried IRL but it didn't work out as well for me, the only way that would work is if you caught transition before the loop or you'd just slam into the bars and get hucked off the side.... You're Welcome and like I said before, it seems only fair for all of the effort you put into the video. 😁👍
@@unclesbones - I know I can't be the only one who tried and failed.... LoL I can show you a short I watched the other day of exactly what happens when you fail. 😂
You just have to complete challenges and they unlock. There’s no fanfare around the unlocks, you just have to check in the menu to see the new characters. Just do challenges, get stars, and they’ll unlock. Are you having trouble completing them?
I hear you. They’re pretty tough. You can hack the trick attack challenges by doing bar spins and 180s on the spot - to give you big points. Maybe that will help?
@@unclesbones it was my treat. Super camera use, fun trick selection, and interesting visual cues (and great music). Really dope. I hope you keep uploading and creating.
Wow! The edit is amazing! So dynamic and realistic. All transitions are very smooth. My favorite bits are the tunnel (loved what you did with the music), and at the end when Nina jumps over the chain link fence into the skatepark. I would love to see more!
Very high praise, thank you! Both of those clips you mentioned are of Nina. I loved giving her a more fast and loose style than the others. Also, the chain link fence sound effect is my favourite touch, so I’m happy you noticed it! And the moment in the full pipe was such a fun thing to do. The first time I watched with the reverb 🫡👌🏻
I love this. I felt insane while looking for sound effects of chain link fences at 2am, so the penultimate clip would feel more real. Thanks for commenting!
@@unclesbones I’m still coming back to this edit. The sound design really helps make this so incredible and feel like a real edit. Great attention to detail man
Really appreciate this. It’s so much work - watching it without music is so fun because I put so much effort into the sound design ☺️ So happy you’re digging it.
I hear you, Dave. There is an insanely long road ahead for this game, and I’m not sure what the dev is planning. The mod community is what will keep this alive. I’m grateful that the dev gave us the bare bones - we all really wanted it and he delivered on that front. I’m no programmer or 3D modeller so can only contribute the way I know how… with massive edits!
