Welcome to the BNB 80 Ep. 16!!
In this Episode I graft a 79 series scoop onto the 80 bonnet. This sort of makes it become a bit of everything now.
80 binnet, 79 scoop to suit 200 front end haha
Then I take you through what is involved to make a fibreglass mould of the panels, for the guards and the bonnet to make the whole front end light and simple!

Tip for the head unit, go get a USB internet stick from your provider, get a second SIM attached to your plan and plug it in behind the dash, saves having to hotspot the headunit👌🏾

Had my bonnet done this way. Don’t recommend it. Do it properly with steel. The fibreglass vibrates and lifts the paint. Wasted my $1250 and left me wanting to get a steel bonnet welded up

I hate the amount of technology in cars now. There should be more cars like a 79 I wish they kept the hilux simple. The 79 series is the last solid axle basic 4wd (besides the Chinese rubbish cars)

Check out shedbuilts video on getting a perfect finish with the bog. Can't remember the product he uses but it's some black powder. Dust it onto the surface, remove excess and you can see the high/low spots

Another good tip is don't put filler onto bare metal.. always put over an etch primer.. reduces the risk of rust bubbles in ten years time

Me nerves. 😬😬😬 Wouldn't be able to cut up a new bonnet. I would just get a fiberglass mould. Though there's way more Cruiser floating around in Australia compared to where I live. Edit: Sam it looks bloody awesome. Well done! 😱👌

There is such a large real estate at the front of that bonnet as it slopes towards the lop of the grill. The LC200 grill is normally higher that it's headlights, but in your design you've made the cutline straight. Have you considered doing a cutout in the middle for a built-in LED light bar?
