Paul is still like a young boy. He has aged really well. In his eyes you can see that he is still curious of what life can have to offer. He still loves to make music. A fantastic man.
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966. Brian Epstein with the consent of the authorities at the time and the three Beatles, he decides to replace Paul with a right-handed session musician named William Shepherd. Everyone involved, including their families, vowed to keep everything a secret. However, The Beatles produced over a hundred clues about Paul's death in their albums and images. William underwent numerous cosmetic surgeries to resemble Paul. William is two inches taller than Paul, William has green eyes, William has a weaker and thinner voice than Paul, William has totally different manners. Musically, Paul was a genius, William is a weak musician.
Even if that were so, obviously there is at least one fact that I know that you don’t. The real Sir Paul McCartney is alive and well. If that other nonsense were true, there is no way that that secret could have been kept for 54 years.

@@justiceforjamespaulmccartney absolute nonsense, my mother knew The Beatles as a kid and watched them when they played around the Liverpool pub scene. She always laughed at the 'Paul is dead conspiracy'. To this day she says it's the same lad from years ago.
Indeed! What a great pleasure see them very charm in the interview like always! Such a wonderful pleasure enjoy his memories. It's really beautiful he shares his memories with us
Here he is at 79 years of age; but frankly he comes across as a much, much younger man in the way he thinks and expresses himself. Truly one of a kind.
Listening to him here and watching the Peter Jackson film this week has made me admire and appreciate even more the music that Paul McCartney & The Beatles created. It lives on.
Still one of THE coolest guys on the planet. Our admiration, fascination and connection to Paul will never fade. Born in 1961 I've been immersed in Pauls sound all my life. To me much of the early music was just so ALIVE. This, to me, is what music can be at it's best.
I too was born in 1961. And I feel exactly the same way. I actually wrote a song about it these are the words: I grew up in a simpler time if the truth be told Not much entertainment but what we had it was gold The first time that I heard them I think I was four years old I fell in love with music it was the best yeah I was sold Music changed me yesterday when I heard yesterday, I want to hold your hand and all my loving too. What a time to be alive when the Beatles first arrived. My friends and I on the living room floor, a giant speaker by the door It all felt so right what a great time to be alive yeah yeah What a great time to be alive We had every Beatles album we knew every line We each had our favorite Paul was always mine Looking back it’s clear to see another Beatles there will never be We were living history Back to “what a time to be alive...” Just thought that we since we shared the same birth year you could relate ... i’ve never had huge celebrity crushes but I have to say Paul has always stolen my heart since that little girl. 😊
Thank you so very much National Patriot! Thanks for taking the time to even comment on it! :) I actually am a singer songwriter and I’m about to release my fourth album. I have been just so inspired by this new book by Paul McCartney. I find his life and career and especially song writing so fascinating. I have yet to track the music for this song but your note of encouragement kind of nudges me in that direction. I really want to do it. My mom died this year and it really got me thinking a lot about my early life and I realized how important the Beatles were even way back when I was very young. Thanks again I really appreciate it!

A VERY fascinating side of Paul’s now-mature intellect and creativity. As a Beatles and McCartney fan since 1964, I thoroughly enjoyed these insights and look forward to the book.
Yeah! Definitely, it's one of the best interviews that Paul has had! I think it was a wonderful conversation for them and the fans too because we really appreciate these type of interviews where the interviewer make smart questions to Paul and allows him to extend his answers without interruptions. A very charm and interesting conversation :)
Yes yessss!! Grow a big beard, Paul!!! Do it!! It has always looked soo great on you! I just finished watching “Get Back” and thought, “damn I wish Paul would grow that beautiful beard again someday”!
This was uploaded in my birthday. What a great gift! Thank you, Sir Paul, for your great book, and thanks to Barnes and Noble for this great interview!
Between this book and the Get Back series, I'm loving being immersed in Paul. This was a wonderful interview. I'm taking the book slowly, I want to enjoy every word!
"And I'm sort of a songwriter... " :D I just love Paul. He's such a wonderful keeper of The Beatles Phenomenon for all of us who shared that time on this planet with and through him.
OMG, Paul, you have been such a creative instrument in the world! It has been so fun to grow up with you and enjoy your contributions to the expansion of artistic expression!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!
I was at ground zero when the Beatles hit in 1963,13 years old & living in South Africa. We were somewhat ahead of the USA being an ex colony & all that.We did not need Ed Sullivan to show us how great they were.Knew immediately they came on the radio.I'm now 71 years old & the Beatles have been with me for almost my entire life.It never gets old.
Thank you for the music of my life Sir Paul. You and John inspired me. You and your group told the story that my generation wanted and needed to hear. I will always be greatful for that.
Paul is such a great interview and this is one of his best ever. Thank you for doing a brilliant job all around. Thank you Paul for the fabulous music, inspiration and joy you have bestowed upon us all.
Really Great, listenning to Paul telling us about His own History makes me feeling closer to Him... After so many years, He also sounds like a teatcher with "the depth of His experience", well so good to listen at His words !
Those questions were fantastic. This is such an inspiring and insightful interview. I am going to save it and watch it from time to time. Thank you for doing this
Have always liked John's songs the most. That being said, Paul doesn't get enough credit for his "behind the scenes" work that allowed John's songs like Tomorrow Never Knows to come to life. All those tape loops were thanks to Paul who was out and about in London discovering new things while the rest of them were living quiet lives in the country. And after Brian died....it was Paul who kept pushing the band. And of course the obvious things; great singer, great writer (Yesterday, I've Just Seen a Face, Paperback Writer, We Can Work it Out, For No One, etc.), revolutionary bass player (listen to Rain), and creative artistic force in the last few years. Thank you Sir Paul!!!! Without you....no Beatles and the last few albums would have suffered from lack of dedication. RESPECT to you sir....you are a LEGEND and immortal through your work.
I’m so happy to see Paul speaking about things he had never addressed before. - publicly - It was always the same questions, and answers for over fifty years. This is good for Paul, I’m sure he’s enjoying this. The depth of his songs, and soul are unparalleled . Kudos for making the world a better place .
I hope this man knows how much he’s loved and what a big part he has played in so many lives. I know he was a part of the band, but he loved the band and added so much to keep the momentum and new ideas brewing. He’s added so much to our culture in a positive way and there’s not many others doing that. Thank you Sir Paul.
Paul ALWAYS gives a great interview, adapts to the tone of the interviewer, makes everyone comfortable. Consummate performer and celebrity. Loved him for 57 years!
What an amazing raconteur. His photographic memory and amazing life combined with his humble and honest self representation is well respected globally and still motivating many people to this day. One of a kind.❤️✌️🎶
Probably, one of the reasons why The Lyrics is a best seller is due to his intimacy through its pages. It wasn't just about his lyrics, his experiences and the context when the songs were created and released but also the chance to explore intimately Paul's life through his photgraphs who give you the wonderful experience of to know him as well as the original sheets of his lyrics and another things like drawings, notes... As James said, it's a very human book where you can to know more to the artist in a different but deep way. A lot of congrats Paul for the book and all the staff who worked with you! You really did an amazing job and we really appreciate it!!! Xx
Paul may have aged in body but in mind, heart and soul he still has that energy and the joy for life that he exudes in the "Get Back" documentary, The world will be a sad place when Paul and Ringo finally bid goodbye to this world which hopefully won't be anytime soon!
I remember when I was 5 I misheard the Beatle lyric "She's got a ticket to ride" as "She's got a chicken giraffe"! Sang it that way for quiet awhile. 😄 ✌
I love listening to his stories. Such an amazingly talented, but also very interesting man. I'm 64...he was my 1st "crush" when I was about 7. Still love and admire this wonderful soul ♡
I will never forget the Paul McCartney show I went to in Dallas, TX in 2002. The show started with Hello Goodbye and not a single person sat down during the entire show. We were all just mesmerized at seeing Paul and I just remember thinking “ Wow! He is one of the Beatles! Great musician and looking forward to reading his new book, The Lyrics. I’m sure he has lived a very gratifying life and what a joy to see him so many years later still cranking out the songs. My favorite musician ever. Love you Paul! Thanks for the great tunes. I play 4 instruments because of you. Cheers
Honeslty, in the end of the interview, my eyes were full of tears because I can't avoid to feel proud of him and all the things he has done (definitely, he wasn't just one of the best songwriters in the music history but also he is a very kind man with a wonderful heart and also, a great inspiration through different generations who have grown up beside you and your music). It was a such wonderful conversation and it was very enjoyable listen Paul's stories and be able to understand it. Thanks a lot for this stunning interview and thanks so much for put english subs, I really aprecciated too much! Keep going Paul!!!! Xx
One hour is not enough. I can listen to Paul infinitely. If I can have a dream life, it would be similar to his. Love the wedding story! Drunk uncle, LOL.
Yes, I really laughed in this part of the conversation. I agree with you: one hour isn't enough. Paul has a lot of memories and it's really precious listen them
My favorite drunk uncle, a living legend and an international treasure. An unexpected pleasure, what a great interview? I'm grateful for Paul's example, and amazing repertoire. A fabulous man.
If Paul had emerged in 1970 as a singer songwriter he would have been a huge global superstar. The fact he was a member of The Beatles BEFORE his solo career speaks volumes of the genius of this man.
I couldn't agree any more, with all the positive comments below from everyone. This is a wonderful, informative and compelling interview. Thank you Mr. Daunt and thank you Sir Paul.
I cannot imagine this life, or this world, living without his music. The planet is a much more beautiful place with Paul in it. Thank you sir, for all that you've shared with us.
You are so right...this beautiful interview will be watch long after Paul is gone...so complete , so immensely interesting ! And Paul...man he looks good !! ;)
I am a frustrated songwriter and found it abundantly informative watching and listening to Paul hammer out songs, much like a blacksmith forging iron. I always thought these beautiful songs just magically appeared in their mind and they just made a few changes and were done, that good, and I’m not. They pounded out songs for hours, and kept ideas for weeks or years before getting the final product. But they worked a lot more than I do, so I guess I need to level up my work time. THANK YOU SIR PAUL!
Love Paul, and the Beatles. Love Paul with the Wings. Love Paul's solo work. I still remember watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, while my sister pulled her hair out! LOL! Last week, right?
Paul is brilliant and I love his story telling. I want to own the book. I’ve loved the music all these years which pass so quickly, Let it Be, Get Back seem like a few years back. Now the Get Back series film brings everything back in the spotlight. The Beatles lyrics, whether Paul, John or George were always interesting and made us look beyond the music. I love this interview! Long live the remaining boys, Paul and Ringo live on with great creative projects constantly. Big love to Paul and the memory of The Beatles. I love all the great comments on this interview that follow.
Each time I listen to Paul Mccartney's interview I learn more about life and love him more and more! Congratulations for your generosity and great achievement into your life #paulmccartney❤️ Blessed be you forever and thank you for so many inspiring songs into my life!❤️😍🎸
Paul is one of the most magnificent beings ever come to Earth! He & the Beatles are mystic travelers - superb super beings who are brilliant at everything they do, especially at spreading messages of LOVE & helping the morons among us understand what’s truly important. No one can touch him! He’s Light Years ahead of all of us! I have Loved this man since I was 3 & saw him on the Ed Sullivan Show. I’m now 61 & my life has been fully influenced & colored by Paul, John, George & Ringo.
