I totally put myself in Stephen's shoes. I have no idea what I would do with myself if I lost my dearest ones late in life. One thing I don't understand is why Catherine let her husband think she had an affair, why she didn't she tell him the truth. What kind of marriage do they have that she couldn't tell her husband the most horrific thing that happened to he ? Stephen could have tried to get justice in a court of law. He wanted to get revenge and he thought that was right. He thought he was right. He thought he knew the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth when he didn't.
