BJ i wanted to thank you for what you do Sir. I really know deep down you like Boise State, but even if I am wrong about that, I love that you cover this team so well.
There has been a lot of drops by receivers though as well as occasional problems with receivers getting separation. There were at least six drops against UNLV, three of them by Lauter including a potential TD catch. Lauter is great and I think he'll eventually be playing on Sundays but he didn't have his best game against UNLV.
I have some questions about the play-calling for Jeanty. It seems the coaches were setting him up for failure and unnecessary punishment with all the runs up the middle that weren’t working. If he keeps taking hits like that, he’s bound to get injured. Are there more creative ways to use him, like a jet sweep?
I grew up listening to So Cal fans always whining about the Trojans even when they were winning National Championships. Too many BSU fans act the same way.
Hopefully some of you aren't in a mind set that Jeanty "is good" and in your head you dont really believe that and think we would struggle against SEC defenses or big 10 etc. NO, BARRY ODOM IS KNOWN FOR STOPPING STUD BACKS. Jeanty has done better than Historically top level RB1's. Alabama #1 back in 2018 was held to 62 yards. Woodard is the best LB Odom has had too. Jeanty is by far and away the #1 back. If Jeanty goes three games in a row under 150 then I will be worried until that happens nah I am confidently sure what Jeanty did against a Barry Odom defense is elite. Jeanty will win the Heisman if these things are true #1 Make CFP #2 2,100 Yards #3 27 Tuddy's.
