BNSF 3688 leads a stack train towards the Alcoa Yard at Sepulveda Blvd

Taken last night just after 8:55pm as the train is carrying lots of stack train cars that are all heading in the direction of the Alcoa Yard in Torrance with the leader being 3688 and 3694 and 3754 are trailing and thanks to the crew of 3688 for waving at me and enjoy the video folks

Amazing…those are the same old ATSF signals that have been there for well north of 60 years. I remember them from when I was in kindergarten and I’m now 63! Fun fact: my brother had a GF who used to live in one of the houses on the other side of the crossing. I don’t live in the area anymore and I haven’t for some time, but I still have family there. Got lucky at the Carson Street crossing about two years ago! Consider filming those great old cantilever signals on Torrance Boulevard or filming from the alley on Mariposa just east of Crenshaw. You can practically touch the trains.

@@DismayingObservation I was at Torrance Blvd last week and their mbells are still disconnected and nice

I’ll have to drive by next time I’m there. I didn’t know the bells were disconnected. I did know that the median signal in the westbound lanes was replaced after an accident. Might be headed that way soon. I’ll jump off the 110 at Torrance and sneak a peek.

@@DismayingObservation Nice the jungle area between Carson St and Torrance Blvd is so pretty and I have Mariposa and Crenshaw but I have not had the time to film there at all
